After 7 years I finally found out there's an option to paint the roll cage of Demolition Derby cars.
Found the same option in Motorfest after only 2 years.
 
@strela will only be playing 8 events in the TC2 Summit this week. If he can make it here, he can....

Interesting though that we have the same event 2 weeks in a row, but the opening narration was different last week to this.

At least the weird bug where this weeks race was already shown as completed fixed itself at the rollover.

My Series S weekly hobbies are still bugged so I'm still 32 stars short for the Explorer car.

But my weekly hobbies are NOT bugged on the PS4 save 🤔

Another great Escape in this week's summit, I love the Escapes where there's a major breakpoint that's reasonably challenging to reach, but then you get some breathing room to pull away from the red circle. Sadly, there really aren't any like that in Motorfest.

Don't be afraid the move the aero to the rear for some events in this week's summit. The Mazda Cosmo on ice is way easier if you just move the aero all the way to the rear. I also went a lot faster with the Shelby GT500 with the aero more to the rear.
 
It's weird driving the S1 with the zoomed-out camera it has, I had to use hood cam in this Summit.
 
The Saleen S1 handles really nicely. Worth the spend.

This week is a high scoring summit week, with only the regular vehicle types, so the platinum threshold is higher than of late.

I don't have time to get >1m bucks for the hypercar but am hoping my 900k score is good enough.

i dislike having hypercar events in summits because they are so damned expensive and hence I don't own many. I get the feeling I'll be buying up the hypercars last, once I've purchased all the other vehicle types and have nothing else to buy.
 
That's why I use hood cam when racing or first-person when cruising.
 
I actually like the 3rd person camera in the Crew. You zoom in while breaking and zoom out when accelerating. But the S1 feels just weird.

It's a lot more competitive than that on PC!

I loved the Dallas event in the summit, as it has no traffic, whereas the normal version of the event has traffic and is just plain stupid as a result.

Hopefully when the game goes offline we'll be able to use a mod to turn the traffic off, otherwise these much better versions of events in summits will be no more.

The different version of Miami Ride was also great, again it would be nice if mods allowed us to drive events like that in offline mode.

Got my time for traffic free Dallas in the summit down to 10:10, which doesn't seem bad with the 720S Spider when the world record not that long ago was only just under 9 minutes, done in a T50 with 3 players with Divine Editions to provide slipstream, and glitched zero traffic. Got me 53rd on the PC leaderboard for that event.

IVT still don't seem to be able to deal with cheaters, there's a sub 7 minute time which is clearly impossible.

Platinum cutoff on PC is now 1118k, highest I've seen for a while.
 
The Outline RX-7 is coming back! I'm expecting that Summit to be a bit more popular on PS.

...nope, dropped out of Platinum on the last day grrrr. The missed points on the hypercar race cost me that Bugatti.
Will have to hope that Summit comes back at some point in the future.

Am I missing something in the MX race? I only got 100k and that's with the cuts.

To be fair, I'm not using the OP Nighthawk (since I haven't bought it yet)

I'm actually slower with the Nighthawk for some reason. My best so far is 1:32 with Suzuki which is enough for 106k.

I suspect the score is based on the DD cars that are much faster than the MX. My best with DD is 1:25 with a Loot Digger set.
 
I enjoyed the special Live Series holiday event.
Plus I am looking forward to the upcoming Retro races summit.
 
Hey, I wasn't playing TC2 when this car was added to the game, so I'm curious to know: does the Corvette C2 Grand Sport Armored Ed. differ from a stock Corvette GS in any way?

Is it just a different livery? Or does it offer any exclusive visual customization like the other custom editions, or any performance advantages over the base model?

Armored has no visual options while the GS has a few. Performance wise they are identical.
 
The Gordon Murray is probably too fast for the Blizzard race in this Summit. It overshoots the checkpoint after that jump part.

What I did was to just lift off the throttle before the jump then point the car downwards in the air and boost to help bring it back down to the checkpoint. I was 2nd on the leaderboard, with only a cheater ahead of me when I set the time.

Incidentally, I've worked out how people are cheating on PC. It seems that a mod site allowed TC2 mods when offline mode was added to the game, but many of the mods intended for offline mode also work in online mode. A mod was created that gives unlimited nitrous, so with a pure+frenetic set that lets people reach far higher speeds than the normal top speed of the car. The mod was withdrawn when the creator saw that people were using it to cheat online, but it's out there now, despite no longer being available from the mod site. There are also mods that can manipulate the multiplier for affixes, which I think is how people are getting the crazy scores on skills.
