I might get away with not buying the LVN for this Summit, but I'll still try to get it anyway.

I was doing a run on my Longest Course recreation when the progression suddenly glitched:
1215.webp

Thankfully, it didn't crash and still got my rewards.

The Spear F1 is returning! That's my favorite car to use in Alpha in Motorfest.
That and the other similar Alpha are my go-to cars for Alpha in TC2 and TCM, as they don't have the massive tyres the others have which cause way too much understeer.

PS I bet @strela enjoyed the New York event in last week's summit
PPS I am glad Drift summits are rare!

I am missing all 3 required cars for the summit next week, so will need to get some bucks accumulated as it is a platinum car summit.

Although I must admit to having some increasing issues with burnout on both TC2 and TCM for the same reason as I had to stop playing FH5 twice - the weekly grind - so i may have to take a break from both soon. In FH5 it's the grind of chores that got me - in TC2 and TCM its the fact it can take up to 20 races to buy each vehicle.

I've actually been having fun with the Custom Mode and Main Stage Legacy. And with TrackForge and NASCAR coming in a few weeks, that will definitely get my attention.

As for TC2, I've been doing runs on my Faction Missions with different vehicles to see what times they can have.

We still get little updates occasionally on Steam for TC2 - there was a 171mb update when I booted up my laptop tonight.

Something's up with the Skills in this Summit, super low scores even if you get big points. I think this is one of those "Open for Everyone" Summits.

Also, the HX Enforcer is coming back!

A tip for people who have the season pass and therefore the permanent discount on car prices - when a buyable car is a summit reward, you still get the full purchase price refunded, so you can make a small profit by buying the car before claiming the reward if you don't already have it.

This week's Summit is surprisingly fun for an April Fools one. The 2 Monster Truck races don't have ice so they're enjoyable and the drift limousine is surprisingly easy to control and fun to watch...)
(Obviously I'm excluding the Hovercraft event from this statement  )

That's a useful tip 👍

This is the second consecutive Summit where I've used a limousine, and I've noticed the interesting difference in how my impressions of the limousine vary greatly depending on the category.

The drift limousine is probably the drift car with the best physics in this game. TC2's drift category, like the drift modes in many other arcade games, has its own exaggerated physics, making it feel like I'm driving a car with chair casters instead of rear wheels, and I didn't really like it because it didn't feel like realistic drift physics.
However, the limousine's long wheelbase made the handling milder, allowing for a relatively realistic drifting experience, which was a lot of fun.

On the other hand, the street race limousine wasn't very good. While the Akor tune undoubtedly improved the handling compared to the stock setup, there was still a noticeable lag between input and actual turn, giving the feeling of steering a large cargo ship on land.
This is undoubtedly due to the car's long wheelbase negatively impacting the handling.

However, it was a good experience to be able to compare them like this. I've come to understand and love limousines even more than before.

Agree with this 100%. The drift limousine was actually a great experience and it was easy to control the drifting - possibly my favourite drift vehicle after the Forsberg Nissan, whereas driving the street race version was, well, like this...:

The So French Summit is returning... You know what that means...
Oui oui...

This week's summit is a fun one.
Also, there's a boosted nitro Rally Raid set coming up in a couple of weeks which is the last of the sets I've been wanting. 👍

I don't want to spoil the anticipation. But maybe... just my guess... you are waiting for the Emerald Coast Summit?
Both, really. Trying to get all the Summit cars on my PS save, since I'm making it my main account now. Gonna have to see what I have left.

I asked because this will be the 4th time they run the So French Summit. You are actually lucky because I doubt it will return soon. If ever.

I checked to see how many Summit cars I have left, and not counting the upcoming ones I still got 27. With how frequently they show up, I should be able to get them all before the servers shut down (I'm assuming they'll shut down at the game's 10th anniversary).

1.8GB update on Series S today.
I wonder what that was for, it's bigger than the usual minor updates.
(There's no update pushed for TCM)

Edit: Livery Editor for offline mode! 😍

Not only is the livery editor available offline, but you can also save online liveries from other players to the offline save as well! I didn't expect them to enable saving other players liveries at all. Bravo!

(Apparently theres a limit of 350 liveries saved to offline though)

And you have to go to each car and select the option to download the livery to offline (which is going to take a long time in practice) [you can't do anything in bulk]

You cannot download an existing livery that is currently applied to a car which is somewhat annoying as that means you have to try and find it again in the search menu.

No change to the situation for vanities in this update.

Some minor irritations here, but this is still a MAJOR improvement and will be very popular I am sure 👍👍👍
