The Crew 2 (PS4) playable on external HDD?

yesterday.Now i ask myself if "The Crew 2" as an open world game can be played from an external 2,5" HDD without performance loss?. A game like F1 201X works fine but only one track has to be loaded for a session. An open world game needs the data in realtime, that's why i'm asking.

I run it off the external HD,
I don't notice any performance issues.
Just a lot of pop in though, (But that was how it was in the previous game)
So I would say yes it can be played without loss of performance.
 
Thanks for your reply, TJ13, then i will give it a go. With my slow Inet connection it will take a while to download it.
