The December from hell...

What the hell is with people giving you sympathy?

You deserve a kick in the arse.

The "NinjaZ" came in..

Oh, no, it's th NinjaZ (sic)!

I'll be honest with you. I fool around on public roads sometimes also. That is something I'm not proud to say, in fact I'm ashamed. I do it randomly with friends, in random places. It isn't something I want to do I just have an addiction and it is driving fast and pushing myself to the limits. I am very, very skilled, and talented, but even I have made mistakes and have had bad luck, which has resulted in a accident (no others involved thank god) and a lot of near misses. However, I also autocross almost every weekend and go to track days regularly. I can't help it if I want to have a little fun on country roads, but I know the counsequences and I do not try to justify it as being right by joining some little team and making excuses. I feel like a jerk for doing it at all and I hope as I age I become more mature and kick the habit.

How about you get your own little street racing addiction/problem under control before you suggest another person do so. Pot+Kettle=You. It's okay, though, because your very talented?

Yea I'm sure at 19 you're very very skilled. You have what; 3 years driving experience, 4 tops? please. Your attitude is why insurance rates are so high for people your age. All teenagers think they're "very very skilled," untill they kill themselves or someone else. Believe me I know from plenty of experience.

So nobody should admit that they play around on streets every now and then? Well, I guess I don't do it then. I know it's bad--I've gotten in trouble and seen bad things happen. But I still so it. Not very often, mind you, but that's no excuse because I still do it. Maybe I'm an idiot, or maybe I'm not mature enough to control those urges. As I see it, kicking it down an empty, curvy road is more of an "escape" than getting high or drunk, like so many other 18 year olds do. If the least I gain from driving is a little excersize for the arms, it's still better than ruining my liver. Of course, it may be bad for someone else if they happen to be in the certain spot, and I hope that never happens, but I know it could. I'm always thinking about what could happen. Obviously I don't care enough, but I'll learn, right?

@ eg6: I agree with SS69. No matter how skilled one is, they'll still screw up. But they'll screw up while going even faster, because they know how to go even faster. Skill can be related to idiocy in some situations (wow, you can pilot your car through 15mph s-turns at 45, or you can cruise your 8000 hp dragter to 300 mph). Going 300 miles per hour is just as stupid as going way over the limit in some twisties, but they both require skill.

Everyones enjoying turining thier attention to eg6_dude here arn't they. At least he recognises that street racing is stupid and he's stupid when he races on the streets and makes no defence on his part for doing it, which is still no excuse but its dragging away from the thread. As for him being very skilled, like most 19 year olds, he'll think he's the bee's knees behind the wheel of a car, but also like most 19 years olds, he probably doesn't realise just how inexperienced he is. That's not jumping on him, that's stating how a lot of drivers are at 19 and the likely hood of it applying to him. At least he didn't type out the entire storyline for NFS:Carbon 2.

Taken from your profile:

There, slap bang, first off, Canyon Driving. Sounds more like a current thing than a past thing, no?

Yes, because everyone updates their profile every day, right? I seriously haven't updated mine in like a year and a half.

I don't see the point in arguing street racing, at all.

No one's going to change what they do due to someone on an internet forum telling them not to do it.

No matter how many people say "You're an idiot"

They can just go on any other given car forum and post in the Kill Stories forum and have a forum load of people saying "Nice Kill"

Then why start a thread "asking" people for advice on an interet forum.........oh wait that right he wasn't asking for our advice just trying to pull a bit of sympathy from everyone to try and justify how crap his life is right now.

Takumi Fujiwara, there has been a lot of good advice given by the lads in this forum. It always amazes me the amount of maturity and good common sense a lot of these young boys/men have. Speaking as a parent I suggest you listen to their advice, stop making excuses and stop feeling sorry for yourself. There's a new year starting tomorrow its time to make a new start.

This month has been great for me, because one Christmas Day fell on a work day for me, which meant I got the day off. And also I find out my work place does not open until 9am on New Year's Day, which means I also get off work on New Years Day. :)

However the highlight for me this month was getting a blender for Christmas from my Mum and Dad.

And how is telling everyone you got a blender for Christmas going to contribute to the subject of this thread, hmm?

I've not idea but I did find the fact that it was the highlight of his month a tad amusing.

Wow, that is quite a story you got there man.

Like someone else said, I wonder why you got kicked out for bad grades and such. Seems unreasonable that parents would kick out a kid for just that.

Like the more mature members, I suggest putting your friend's house as your address and just work somewhere, and then eventually get your own apartment.

As for street racing, I have friends who have done that and nearly killed themselves. In my own driving, I tend to be very cautious in flying around corners... because I nearly killed two people flying around a blind corner in a rich neighborhood. That close call scared the **** out of me so bad that I haven't pulled anything risky since... I still drive fast, and typically exceed highway speed limits, but only when it is fairly open. I don't weave around, so I can't really judge myself too harshly for speeding on open roads.

I support that opinion.

Ciao!

Common guys, leave him alone. Reality finally came and kicked him in the balls, isn't that enough without you making him feel worse?

Tak- Tough it out, you can- You have a home base and a VERY good friend, you can go somewhere from there.
