F1Man, you can't blame the thread-starter for creating rumours... if people would read the past replies on this thread (as on others), they would see a little truth... you can't MAKE people read if they don't want to... anyway, I said I wasn't going to justify the nature of this thread any more, so I'll just quit it.

Not to be a jerk, but if everyone else is throwing their two cents in so I might as well too. If we're going to nit pick cars here, some of you need to get your facts straight. I've seen "U.S. type R" here, like, a hundred times. This car did not exist. Also, Scoobz said there wouldn't be any Lambos due to exclusivity issues. I don't see why not, there was the JGTC in GT3. Same goes for RUFs. And, if we're gonna throw a Viper on the list, screw the 650. You gotta go with the Hennessy 800. BTW, Diego, how in the hell could you put together that exquisite list and never have heard of the 1st generation (89-94) Eclipses? Beats the hell outta the 2nd and 3rd gens, and they'll never end up on any game prolly.(sigh) As far as playablility goes: USED CARS. The only thing I hated in GT3 was having like 4 cars to pick in the beginning. And if they put in different lights and body kits in GT4, I'll kill myself. This isn't a pile of $H!7 like Auto Modellista. It's GT4. Realism is cool to a point, but I have to change the oil and parts and everything on my car in real life. Who the hell wants to do that in virtual reality. I thought games were supposed to be fun. Where's the fun in spending all of your money on damaged parts instead of ones that make you go faster? Actually, it may sound kinda dumb, but I'd like to see a drag racing section in GT4, as long as they didn't put too much emphasis on it. I heard they were gonna do that in GT2, and that's why the HKS drag cars are in it, but didn't due to time restrictons. Anyway, feel free to yell at me and quote me and stuff, that's why forums exist.

Oh and P.S: BMW sucks ass. They haven't won F1 since 1983 and they haven't won LeMans since 1995, and that's if you include the Mclaren. If you don't, then they've never won, despite entering at least one car every year since. Besides, they've never even come close to winning anything at the JGTC. And the ETC hardly counts as world class racing so I'm not even gonna count it.:D

Jubeikipagami, I didn't include the 89-94 Eclipse because frankly, I don't like it... as with most Eclipses (and oddly enough, several Pontiacs), it looks like they didn't have space to put the reverse lights, so they had to stick them somewhere around the bumper, how screwed up is that? And really, I don't like them in general... I used to own a '92 Eclipse GS, and I hated the damn car! But anyway, this is a wishlist, and everyone's entitled to include other cars into the list... because (hear this 1mic) it's not real! I don't care if 50 websites put the list and say it's real, it's not! It's a product of my boredom and enthusiasm on the Gran Turismo series!

I'd bet this thread has been linked to by GT and video game forums all over the world, so that statistic makes sense.

I'm not blaming you, its just that there are so many people saying 'This is the Real Car List for GT4', and I'm getting sick of people posting this list over and over again.... NO I am NOT blaming you. ;)

Too bad the list is like 30% wrong and as for this
1st generation (89-94) Eclipses? Beats the hell outta the 2nd and 3rd gens, and they'll never end up on any game prolly.(
They'll never end up on a game cause they're ugly, and very unappealing. "Ohh DSM" whoopdie doo. Hell why even hav the Eclipse, it's the heaviest of the models, if you HAVTA put a ugly azz wedge in there put a Lazer not a Eclipse...Eclipse = drip estrogen.

I love this list and I'd be really happy if most of the European and American cars listed actually do make it onto GT4. I love the old cars especially. My dream game is Gran Turismo Classic with nothing but classic sports and race cars from 1946 to 1975. You could easily do a 500 car game that way, with 30 to 40 race tracks and street courses that were used back in the day, but are gone now, like Riverside and the Watkins Glen street course they used in the early '50s.

Martial, they could easily do a 800 car game now, the point is, the development that would go into the game, AKA money, would take ALOT longer to make up than it would as such, and the older the car, the harder they are to find, the harder they are to find, the more money spent.

As a matter of fact, I was recently lookig through my stepdad's old magazine collection, and came up with a 1967 French magazine called Le Salon De L'Auto, and it's a 150-page magazine that came with L'Auto Journal. It's quite nice and would be a great starting point to make that game we're actually hoping for, and before anyone gets any crazy ideas, this would be a WISHLIST!!! It has several brands that are still around, but a whole bunch that disappeared, but really made good looking cars. As a matter of fact, I may open a new thread called Gran Turismo Classic... look for it soon in a forum near you!

yeah and then look for it all over the net, when everyone says its real

Look at the Mazda line up.

The RX-7 is listed as a '76(when it should be a '79 - '85)
The MX-3 should be a '92 - '97
The MX-6 GT is '88 - '92
The Cosmo Sports is '67 - '70
The RX-8 is an '04 model.
And the Probe GT is '93 - '97.

A very screwy list.

... and your point is?

Ok, there isn't that much to worry about the lisences EA has, seeing as the cars we all want (Lambos, Porches etc.) are open due to their new game NFS UnderGround. It is based on Street Racing, duh.

I also doubt the Lamborghini's will be in because of the recent 'Lamborghini' Xbox game! But because VW/Audi own lambo, i guess its possible.. more than ferrari.

If they do have lambo's.. personally i dont see them putting the VT6.0 SE in over the regular VT6.0... it only comes in brown and gold.. that would be a damn shame! they might have it as a price car seeing it doesnt look different at all besides the color to the VT6.0. Besides that... id say there may be more than one countach, IMO the QV is a nicer car than the 25th anniv.. and it was a very popular and a more agressive looking car.

As for Mclarens, is it really unlikely that they wont be in?? i mean, Lambo have a game of their ownn on another platform, and you think they will be in? I just dont see how its too unlikely that Mclarens wont be in if lambo's might be.

Bottom line, if there are afew lambo's ill be happy, if there is a Mclaren F1. i will never stop playing the game:)

I would care if the McLaren F1 is in the game personally. The Tuning options would probably be EXTREMELY limited, which means 90% of my GT3 cars would probably spank it. I'm sure it looks cool, but in the world of Gran Turismo..220MPH isn't impressive.

I doubt there will be Rolls Royce and Bentley coz they are expensive rich people cars (at least they are where I live), and they wouldn't want stupid teenagers driving them and doing unimaginable things to them.

what about the bentley continental T and arnage, they r both supposed to be great drivers cars.

Aaahhh the bentley Continental SC how I wish I could sit in you again.
