We downloaded this last night on the 360 in HD and holy crap I havent jumped that much in a long time. The surround sound was absolutly amazing. I have never heard the surround sound like that. Usually its really good but that was just insane. For the first time I had to turn it down because it was just too intense at times. The movie wasnt real good or the acting but the jump and scare factor was extremely high. It also looked great in HD. If you dont have a good surround sound system then it wont be as scary.

I thought it was just OK, but then again, I don't think I had my surround on. Darn. Too late! It was a rental.

There was one point that scared me only because it reminded me of something freaky from Ghost ship but the rest of the movie was boring and unrealistic. (trying not to spoil anything)

I was very dissapointed with this film. It was directed by the guy who did my fav ever film (Dog Soldiers). And this was just average. I'd read everywhere how scary it was, but it just wasn't. Especially when i watched it a 2nd time at home.
Although i have a great memory of this bloke sitting in the cinema absolutely cacking himself at the scene with the window & the pole. It was soo obvious yet virtually everyone jumped a mile.

That the thing though... The fact that it's a situation that can ACTUALLY happen makes it far more scary whether predictable or not. That kind of movie will ALWAY be more scary to me than these wannabe stupid horror/scary movies. In my ghost ship ex it's where the cable snaps and slices all the people in half, I had a real fear of cables under tension after that. :scared: I know it's not possible now really because of Mythbusters. :D

Hah, just saw it two nights ago.

I liked it a lot - the claustrophobia aspect was great and really got to me, and the ending (unrated version) was really well done. The movie just really let off this creepy, creepy vibe like most aren't able to do. It didn't try to be flashy and cool, it was just let the scariness of the girls' situation play out.
