I just started this thread for all of us to talk about our past drift experiences.
I have just finished buliding my car it is a nissan s14 200sx with a s15 nose.
I changed the stock sr20 for a 13b turbo with a bit of help from my dad,
it currently pushes 298kw at the wheels i havent drifted very much but i only just started i can do laps of a round a bout with out spinning but i am no where good enuf to use full boost yet.

Add any of ur drift experiences here.

gotta love the sound of a open wastegate.

You put it in the wrong forum and there are probably 10 other similar threads like this already.

Only a Texan could have said that.

And S14's aren't rice, just so you know.

Shut up .You got no right to make that assumption. And why would you post that just to say negative comments about something other people enjoy. Get a life.

drag racing is ok but i dont c the point of sticking ur foot to the floor and going threw the gears i think drifting involves skill

Could you list your engine modifications as 298rwkw's is quite a damn lot out of a 13B so your list should be long, if anything 298 is almost too much for a drift S14.

Also you got pics to prove?

Also curious why would you swap out the SR20? SR20 is also quite capable of producing 300rwkw+

They both require skill. Where in drifting you can make up for mistakes by doing something outrageous, in drag racing it's only one chance to get it perfect. Most of the time, those shifts and the R/FW traction is what decides who wins. If you don't have a good/reliable clutch/gearbox/shifter, then you'd better look at track/circuit racing instead of dragging.

But drifting, it's quite difficult too. But soo much money has to go into the car to keep it running, its ridiculous. Major advancements in automotive parts are going to have to take place if this is ever going to become a recreational sport.

Not to mention more torque.

If you're going to swap it with anything, go for the RB26/RB25 or the SR20DET(T).

viper gts i will soon have a mod list for u as i dont know everything i have as i said i built it with my dad should know also i am trying to hook up my new digital camera.i know that the turbo is a t66 i will post more mods soon

All this seems very sus to me :odd:, but please prove me wrong.

Also a dyno chart would be great.

i changed the engine because its different
and my dad owns a performance shop and i got my hands of a cheap 13 b so i bought it

So the Dyno should be easily acquired.

Performance shop hey, where in Australia?

Could you get a quote for a RB25DET bottom end rebuild?

I want

Forged rods
Forged pistons
Steel head gasket
N1 oil pump
Nissan bearings and seals are fine
I have all the other parts required, block will require machining but is in great condition.

I just want the bottom end to handle 350rwkw reliably, I could do it myself but would rather have some insurance on the job.

What exactly is the point of all this?

Please, MazdaMatt, at least make an effort to use correct grammar, and please, put your threads in the correct sections.
