I found this incredibly interesting. This is a list compiled of games and consoles that have been released since Duke Nukem forver was announced. (the list is rather old which only further atests to how long the game is taking.) it also shows other neat facts like Duke Nukem Forever is taking longer to make than all these wars lasted:

The American War for Independence
The United States Civil War
World War I
World War II and the entire Manhattan Project.
The United State's involvement in the Vietnam War.

I haven't heard that yet, but I knew they had a sequel already planned. :dunce: Just imagine what it would be like if DNF ended up sucking. Ooooh man that would be hell.
 
This is why I say that "Duke Nukem Forever" is the benchmark of pure impatience. This franchise is basically dead because of the long wait for Duke Nukem Foreve. Hell, I remember when this was announced back in 1997! I was a Ninth Grader at Houston's Milby High School around the time I first heard of this game. People think the wait for Gran Turismo 5 is excessively long. Well, that's nothing compared to this game. The only Duke Nukem I've religiously played was Duke Nukem 3D. I STILL play that. So I've basically remembered this series for DN3D.

I pose this to anyone- if you think your favorite game or game series isn't going to be released anytime soon, think about the wait for Duke Nukem Forever. And that is all.

You mean sort of like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, which was announced in 2001 with constant delays and lots of anticipation and finally come out a few days ago............ and is just a disapointment (IMO)

Hopefully DNF wont dissapoint when it finally comes out........ on day.
