Canada and Russia look like they get to bed pretty early though, hardly any lights on. Mostly Russia, also the Middle East and parts of South America and Australia.
There's pretty much no one in the upper part of Canada. Unless they like ice and mountains. Can't say i've been in Russia, but i'd guess it's the same deal.
What about Scott Base and all of the people on the Antarctic? You would think that with the relative darkness around there that even the smallest of lights would be seen.
