Our exams, other than Math, are easy. They are all done on scantron sheets (The ones where you fill in the correct circle like on standardized tests.) Math test questions are fill in the blank, but on scantron tests, you have to have multiple choice or true/false questions.

I got English to do at 2pm but I'm going into town early to 'revise' I'll probably just go play football with my mates and then get too tired to do the exam :(.

Good Luck to everyone else.

wow, that wasnt too bad, section A was fairly difficult but section B i thought was quite easy.

Did you have the one about the future. OCR I think. The kid behind me kept yawning and moving his chair :grumpy: and the one in front kept tapping his pen but not writing anything.

The first question of section B question 7 was something like 'what reasons do you think give hope to a good future'

the next was right a speech on whether you agree with the statement 'we are all going to become slave to personal stereos computers and mobile phones, do you agree?'

It was english language paper 2 higher OCR
paper reference 2432/2 (don't ask how I remember :sly: )

I got a B at GCSE English even though all my coursework for it were A's :sly: ...must have messed up somewhere on the exam!

Cars! lucky! We had to analyze some article on bringing up children (if I remember)...... :grumpy:

Doing A level exams now! got one on Wednesday! Gosh if your at GSCE enjoy the freedom while it lasts!

lol, im not going onto A levels, games development for me, they needed a few people more so me and some mates went for it..

last years English exam was the worst exam ever. i hated it.

plus my anthology looked like it had been on a round the world journey :(

Maths is just practice until it sticks really, physics in a level is a lot more based on maths than at G.C.S.E level and a lot less theory so its more tricky.

OK, this maybe the most stupid place to ask but, does anyone get how the uniform marks thing works at A level, like for example with an edexcel exam board subject the whole AS and A level is out of 600 normal marks, I want to know basically how many marks I need to get an A.......as in overall end grade.....

I dont anyone will know here, but if a do any help would be appreciated..

Thanks, Robin

AS and A2 can be added together to make a whole A level (unless you only do AS and not A2 for a subject)

If an A level has a total of 600 points. If you get say 200 for AS and 300 for A2 you will have 500 points. So sometimes people redo the AS exam to secure more points. If you redo it and do worse the highest scoring time counts.

I don't know what amount of marks are required for an A. Universities will look at how many points in total you have to see if you are worth interviewing.

You can also get points from extra-curricular activities and such but no one does them and GT4 doesn't count so ignore that. :P.

I think thats all correct. meh

Oh! :indiff: was relying on that to pull up my grade! :dopey:

Yay exams are over and physics was easy :P to you all.

Even so I still have to turn up on friday morning in uniform just to hand back my text books :(. And on Monday and Tuesday to see what VI form is like (its cumpolsory).

Why is this thread still going? Isn't school over? I know I am in college, but I was out at the end of Apirl. Its almost July!

I feel sorry for anyone doing exams this week. I don't quite know who is doing exams this week, but our school hall was full of people in the heat. Sadly, most schools in england don't have aircon, so we all melt. I had to go home early today for sitting in a hot classroom for 2 hours solidly, with no fans, or aircon.

Too hot? it was raining for ages today. I was stuck in a town 15 miles from home with nothing to do (until my friend had the brilliant idea of inviting everyone to his place to play GT4 :P).

yeah, it was raining here too, 1 months rain fell in an hour..

ive finshed all my exams, finished last thursday
