The entire staff of TechTV has been fired...

G4 does have a few cool shows like Cinematech, Judgment Day, Arena. Also, all of the people from TechTV could reapply for their jobs if they wanted so I'm sure most of the hosts did.
 
I tried to watch some of the G4 TV shows, but it was just too painful. The content and premise of the show is OK, but the hosts are terrible. Like the two girls mentioned before. A few others are just as bad.
 
I've only seen two G4 shows and I saw them last week over at a friends house. They were Judgement Day(that right?) and Cheat!. I havent been able to watch it since they merged cuz our directv got shut off for awhile.
 
The host of "Cheat" is a complete loser, and just makes me want to change the channel. The 2 girls on "G4TV" are annoying and almost completely inept at hosting period..... The girl on "Filter" seams pretty mindless..... Tech TV had more down to earth personality... G4 is too overproduced, and cheesy....

"X Play" seams to still be around, as well as "The Screen Savers"... Are they going to stay, or is this still the transition period?.... Does anyone know?...

I have an opposite opinion of the merge. I think most of Tech TV's shows are lame. X Play has some of the worst reviews I've seen. The only redeeming quality (besides Morgan) is when the make fun of truly bad games. I do like The Screen Savers (only for Sarah). Most of their tips are useful and they do show some interesting stuff. Kevin isn't as cool as some make him to be. I also like Future Fighting Machines, but they hardly ever show it.
 
Am I the only one who wants to go back 4 months? TechTv was perfect back then, albeit with a lot of brit shows, not bad, but that accent..........:sick:

Uuhh...they are keeping The Screen Savers. If they are stupid enough to get rid of TSS, then I'm sure thousands of subscribers will be stupid enough to unsubscribe.
 
Welp, its offical... The Screensavers has gotten the axe practically. Everybody that was on the show until now except for Kevin Rose and Sarah Lane were apparently fired. Figures. Comcast = square root of all evil. As far as I am concerned... I am never watching G4TechTV ever again because it's pretty much ruined now. I only watched TSS on G4TechTV and now I have yet another reason not to watch that network.

Your forgot about the TSS cast too (minus Sarah and Kevin but they don't count anyway).

I will be saying that if they screw up Xplay.

Also I read somewhere that TSS is mergering with Pulse. Sounds stupid but whatever. Also theres a G4techTV staff person saying that TSS will resume normal shows on Nov. 29.
 
Getting rid of Pulse might be a good idea. Why have a "news" show on Friday nights? More than 90% of their content is a week old.

Look at these Nielsen ratings. G4TechTV just beats out the Biography channel with a 0.1 rating percentage. I can see why Comcast feels fit to 'retool' some shows on G4TechTV. However, to fire most of the original cast members seems to be counter-productive.
 
I'm glad they canceled the show. G4 ruined it when they asked Leo to step down. Bastards. I hope they're losing a lot of money. TSS with Leo and Patrick was an excellent show. If you ask me, Kevin and his girlfriend-who-wont-shut-up ruined that show for me. I haven't watched it in long time. I have no idea who this Alex guy was. But who cares. Good riddance.

Well, show much for trying to make all their shows "hip."

She is the main reason I am so dissapointed with TSS now... Kevin is alright and at least brings some technical knowledge to the table, but that new guy Alex is pretty abrasive to say the least...

I wish Pat and Leo would come back... If TSS was hosted by Pat, Leo, and Kevin it would be great, but as it stands I have almost completely lost interest...

I hope G4 doesn't further butcher the programing schedule...

Renamed to "Attack of the Show!" Same show, same people, just renamed. :confused:

I know. The people in charge of G4 are idiots. First, they get rid of the talent, heart and soul of the show. Now, when things are going horrible, they think they can return things back to normal again by changing the name of the show. Idiots indeed.

With Patrick and Leo, that show could've gone on for ten more years. Now, it's finished.
 
I totally 100% agree with Solid Lifters. Kevin Rose and Sarah do a good job, but TSS just isn't TSS without Leo and Pat. I can't wait for Kevin Rose to release the first episodes of his new underground "oldskool TSS like" show. I think it's all the people from The Broken but instead of just hacking, it's about hardcore tech as he puts it. He also said that there would be some old friends in the show. :D
