After saving up for this car, its a disappointment, even though I tuned the thing to 933bhp, it still had terible handling, and I went through loads of setups before it could handle properly, its not worth that 2 million ! Luckily I didnt save the game and bought a Tickford instead, now that car has great handling !
 
I would have never bought it. Thats why I did the TT and won it by doing those. I have never tuned it up. Its still pretty much stock (besides a oil change) and I have no problems with it. I would never pay 2 million for that thing. I also have the Tickford. I won it and indeed it does have great handling. :)
 
Yeah it does suck, and like you I bought it. :mad:

I would advise anyone with that sort of money to buy a C5R instead, its half the price and a hell of a lot better.
 
I got it on the time trial I havent used it in a race. Personally I dont like tuning the powerfull race cars It kinda makes the game unrealistic. Did a few practice laps with it and it seems to handle ok.

Where did you get the RVD pics from the WWF website?
Noooo my cable is broke so I havent watched wwf for about a month now. I think ill go to my friends house at 1am in the morning to watch wrestlemania live.

No I got em from www.robvandam.com. Man that sucks you can't watch the WWF, WM18 gonna be awesome.

Yeah not everyone likes wrestling (yes I know its staged) but id rather watch WWF than eastenders.

I was pretty pleased when I won my Esperante 'cause I'd read across a few GT forums that it was some people's fav ride... Then I drove it...

... not good. So I tuned it... not alot better. This is an expensive motor. I got it handling 'acceptably' with some intensive tuning. Sorry, I just don't get it. My RX7 LM runs much, much faster. :rolleyes:
 
When I first got the Esperante from somewhere (cant remember what, but it wasnt the time trial), I was extremely pleased with it. I used my "all purpose" settings, and it handled sorta well, and handled great when I tuned it up further. I even came within 0.40 seconds of my best Viper GTS-R time on Apricot Hill with it.
 
yea, i also liked the car, and had no problems with it (including handling) in stock settings. of corse i changed it more to my liking, but its still a fine car. i just beat all the time trials tonight (YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!! 😈 ) and it was even more powerfull then the one i had (1008HP).
And im guessing it has to do with me beating those damn TT's, but it looks even better to me now :D
 
I don't think it's a bad car at all. With a little prctice and a few minutes spent tuning it it works pretty well. by the way the cars you win/earn in races/time trials etc. have like 10 more bhp than the same car if you buy it.
 
Esperante looks gr8, but now I see why it flopped in FIA GT's in 97/98 :D anyways, complete the game few more percent and i got a C5R :D
 
Actually the Esperante is one of my favorite/most used cars.
It is really fun to drive after fine tuning it.

I didn't find the Tickford much of a challenge to drive.
I don't know how to put this, but it was kinda like: "too straight / predictable".
I prefer living on the edge with the Esperante.
 
off -corse esperante sux,
i don't THINK dere is even 1 good open cockpit race car that U.S has made.
after watching american le mans at sears point (1) esperante broke down and the other was getting lapped by audi r8s,
dey were even getting lapped by the gts-class cars!!! :mad:
 
Aaah come on. It ain't that bad. Surely the Trueno is the ugliest! ;) :D
 
Esperante I really Hate this Car :cheeburga :eek:

I don't own one, glad about that.....but can tell what a mess it is just racing against it.

It's got power I'll give it that but it's pretty darn ugly not that that matters much in racing.......

Sell it or don't buy it, that's my advice :D

Ahh, yes the Esperante... surely separates the men from the mice 😈

A lot of people are fooled to belive that if the AI can't control it, then it is a piece of junk. But I can't say this enough times: LEARN TO TUNE YOUR CAR!!! It is not enough to just copy settings from a internet site. - What if the settings doesn't match your driving style??

And I even dare to say that it is better than the Oreca Viper and the Corvette C5R :eek:
Boy am I gonna get into trouble now :D
- But no one will ever convince me. I'm gonna stick with my Esperante...
