The only reason this might be good is because you get to customize your car as you like, therefore, eliminating the rice if you choose. Now can I replace my whole interior with a rollcage and drop the chassis? 
And let me add something, just because you use nitrous doesn't necessarily mean you cheat. If you drag race or something like that, its okay. But if you street race (the legal kind, where you use an old airfield or drag strip), you want raw horsepower. Personally, I'd rather drive something with 320 horsepower NA and some lightening of the body done to it with ratios to the core than a small little Honda with 300 pounds of stereo equipment and a 150-shot of nitrous running through it wired wrong. And it doesn't help that half the people who street race, don't even know how to shift.
One more edit, drag racing and street racing on a drag strip are different because of the type of car you use. Unless you street race a funny car.
