In about 117 hours...

I got three of my pit crew to help push and got it down to 38 hours! lol :)

Back on topic, in any of the GT games, I found the stock Viper to work very well! 👍

I wish there was some type of Lingenfelter Vette in the game or Lingenfelter cars. I love Corvettes. There is no ruling on street legal or there shouldn't be because in some countries it changes on what is or isn't street legal so I believe that any mod is ok on any car.

38hours!?.. when was it made again?.. 1886 or something?.. they tested it on the ring before launching it, so they could fine tune their suspension setups... Im pretty sure theyre still going...

Whats that, 130 years?.. tehehe

Wait.. did it have suspension, i dont think it did.. Then what where they doing there! LOL

I'd probably say-

On the straights, a TVR Speed 12 or SL65 AMG

In the twistie bits- Elise or TVR Tuscan Speed 6

Ezz777
And the GSX-R/4
but that brings up the arguement as to what constitutes a production car. The GSX/R4 was a one-off in the most classic sense: they built 1. They didn't sell it and it is in no way street legal.

Yup... we are... the GSX-R/4 counts as a concept... After a lot of testing... I've pegged the Ford Focus RS as the fastest FF road car in the game (excluding the racing cars, ey?). Going on to Kei cars  and trucks.

TVR Speed 12 if there is enough road but as they only made 2, does that count ? Peter Wheeler stopped production because it was too dangerous.

On the twisties, def not the Tuscan, the Tamora (my current car) is much faster but I would go with the Elise (my previous car) or a variant thereof.

I find the Elise faster through the tight bits but the Tamora accelerates out like you would not believe, it literally takes your breath away but a 0-100mph of a fraction over 9secs helps.

The TVR Speed 12 counts because, whilst they only made a couple, they did make them and sell them. Also, what Elise did you try? I've found that the Sport 190 smokes the 111R in everything but top-speed.

There were 5 TVR Speed 12's built, 4 were race cars, 1 was a road car which was sold. The Speed 12 counts in this thread because it's a road car and this threads for road cars, however it does not count as a production car since the numbers needed to be classed as such were not met.

Yup... what counts as road-cars is road-registered, and there is exactly 1 road-reg TVR Sp12.

As for Elises, it's a disappointment that the new Toyota engine can't push the (admittedly heavier) 111R better than the old K-engine could push the Sport 190. They should've gone Honda... Toyota's 1.8 just isn't the best naturally aspirated zinger out there.

Point-to-point, the Elise is competitive with just about anything here, though.

The road registered Speed 12 by the way is sometimes called W112 BHG by some fans and TVR workers, thats the cars registration code.

Nobody's really mentioned the M5. With full upgrades and racing tyes it gets around 600 hp but is really a great piece of machinery to drive. I haven't got around to tuning it yet, buti'm sure it could be a real contender with a good setup

Well, since this is the "fastest" road car thread, the M5 isn't very close to the supercars, but for four-door regular layout cars, it can't be beat. And it feels wonderful to drive.

The ZZII is very quick, but so far, I think the Pagani is the quickest road-registered car in the game. You might want to give the Nardo and the Honda NSX LM Road Car a try, while you're at it... The LM will surprise you with how quick it can be.

Well...

I suppose I could just go on and on about my Xj220,
But it did previously hold the title "Fastest Production Roadcar in the World," back in '92 (completly stock,) but since I've decided to do a little work on it, it now reaches a speed of approx. 261.2. I see no comparison. :dopey:

Watch Top Gear. Both M5 that they had for testing busted their diff while running on the track. it has the power and technique, but that diff is the weak link that prevents it from being the best super saloon out there. I'd vote for RS6 instead. the new version which is coming quite soon, will have 500 bhp+, which places it on the same line with lambo's, Vipers and such.. imagine how you would feel if you'd own a viper and got smoked by an estate wagon! :dopey: :scared:

I don't know about fully modified, but in stock form the NSX LM is surely the fastest in the game. 👍
Fastest LimitedModel : Honda NSX-R Prototype (skirts)
Fastest Supercar : TVR cerbera Speed12
Fastest GT4 concept/model : Cadillac CIEN
Fastest Exotic : Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3 '02

I don't know much about xlinking but from the sound of it I would say you need to look into testing with the arcade cars. 👍

Purely based on real life- the Speed 12 is my bet for fastest road car from this game.

Well, as I posted MANY pages back, after extensive testing, the fastest (in terms of top end speed on the test circuit, fully modded and tuned for speed, using NOS at maximum HP setting) turns out to be none of the above... it is in fact the Lotus Esprite 350 (aka the ?!!$§¿¶¡ng fast silver one)

As for fastest around a TRACK, well, I leave that one to the professional drivers round here... :)

BTW, anyone done a 0-400 on any/all of these cars yet? I suspect the Speed 12 would suffer terribly there, all that wheelspin...

(Pointless footnote, the Escudo can now out accelerate the F1 car in GT4, and is most likely the fastest accelerating car in the game... yet, it was marginally slower that the F1 in GT3... No idea why it's faster now, especially with it's much reduced horsepower!)

haha. Too bad if theres a corner though..lol. Cerbera please meet my good friend the wall.
Eh, the Cerbera is one of the best handling cars in the game, the Speed 12's not too bad either just make sure you don't try to take tighter corners with all 850 horses pushing the thing.

Thw fastest top speed is debatable becasue settings can be changed and bugs can be exploited. I can get my Speed 12 faster than you got your Esprit. The 12 is also very quick to 60 if you have the control needed, if not then don't bother. As a result it can be devating or frustrating, it's one of thoes cars.

As for the Escudo accelerating, you answered part of it when you talked about the Speed 12, yet you say the reduced Bhp isa - in the Escudo. 1800Bhp Escudo's lag like **** and wheel spin worse than any car in any GT game yet. 1000Bhp Escudo's don't off the line if you take car with the wheelspin which isn't too bad with the race tyres and 4wd.

Which Cerbera? The used one? I used to think the Tuscan 6 was the best sports car in the game, way back in GT3, I racked up 1000's of miles on my Tuscan and Esprit, but I'm not sure about the Speed 6 in this one.

The Speed 12 is actually a nice drive, if a little bit harsh on the rears (but we've talked about that before, eh, live4speed... was pages ago... ).
