Something that I've always found is that the fictional tracks in the game lack a little personality and history through their lack of corner names. Part of the lasting community appeal of the Chicane of Death or Big Banky Boy is that because they have informal names, it's easier to refer to them casually and gives them a stronger place in the GT pantheon. Whereas, as notorious as the corner is, going "the fast left hander at the beginning of sector 3 at Sardegna A" just isn't as catchy, y'know? And there's not even really turn numbers to fall back on either, because what do you count as a corner - is the fast right at top of Seaside turn 4 or turn 5?

So I thought I'd make this thread to see if we can fix things. Let's hear what people name the corners on the fictional tracks, see if a few of those names stick in the community, and if they do then we've given the tracks a bit more of a story and a personality!

My initial contribution: I always call the downhill hairpin at Seaside "Overlook corner", both because you're overlooking the sea as you approach it, but you also overlook that corner mentally because you're too busy worrying about the CoD after it.

There is one corner on Sardegna A that I call "Church" for obvious reasons. The first corner should probably be called "Calamity" or "Chaos" because there was a race with the Jaguar VGT in the World Series where everyone went off. The section of right hand kinks on Dragon Trail Gardens should be called "Istanbul" because it's similar to "Turn 8" on the Istanbul GP track. The corner after the tunnel on Trial Mountain should be called "Big Tree Corner" because of the big tree on the inside.

I like Four Brothers better for those 4 corners at DTG. In the other direction they could be called Four Sisters.
