Sometimes I wonder if Doug owns AIM. Then I remember he can't even do proper file transfers. (Direct Connection my foot!)

Interesting to see some of those famous 'old names' popping up.

Thinking back, I reckon the first famous names I got to know well were Duke, Der Alta, Sage (or his previous incarnation :D), Gil {I still remember the comflab we had about RX-7's 👍}, Famine, QuattroBro, GilesGuthrie ... quite a few actually, more than I've listed for sure (so apologies to those I haven't explicitly mentioned) :O.

Not so 'famous' these days but the very first person I 'replied' to here at the 'Planet was F1King; if my memory serves me correctly, it was some comment on the merits of Lotuses ... how little things change :lol:.
 
That would have to be Famine.

There's two things that make him standout from the commoners around him:

His Indigo, Bold text, and the fact that he owns anyone he talks to. He comes up with the best calls... :)

Still, there was no way that anybody other than sage my my first well-known member that i knew. Part of the reason he was the first to be put on my buddy list.

I actually think Sage was one of my first as well, cos i called some kid a chav and i was told off for it...i think i called RaceIdiot a chav actually, and that is what i got told off for...but i learnt my lesson:guilty:

Yeah, but at the time neither of us were well-known! I distinctly recall the first argument I had here - myself and Dudebusta (and possibly you) against 1mic, arguing about God knows what in this very forum.

Look at us now - you're a super moderator, I'm a top poster, 1mic is on my buddylist, and Dudebusta got into a fight with a lemur and came out on the losing end.

The first guy I knew was MazKid, who actually referred me.

Wow that's the funniest thing i've heard all day.

I joined at the same time as Giancarlo and some jabroni called youth_cycler, I remembered we used to post allot of stuff in the GT3 forum and DerAlta used to be the man who knew stuff about GT3.

Also MistaX used to insult me allot well he still does, so that hasn't changed.

Quantity not quality. If we were going on quality alone, Josh would be the only top poster this site has ever sent out into the real world. I mean, nothing against PunkRock, but Josh got drunk way more often. And high too.
 
I found "Delphic Reason" to be helpful.... he's a mod i found for the GT3 drifting forums.
And also "Swift" was another bloke
 
I cant remember exactly who it was but I think it might have been Tatinee or NocturnalPS. God I miss the old days. :(
