I remember clearly when I first came Ving, Vat_man and Rumple getting away with doing almost anything :lol:.

:guilty: I think I chased him away. I didn't really mean to. I just wanted him to stop posting about titties 'n' beer in every damn post. 30+ year old children are not very attractive company.

For me it was probably Duke, 911_Carrera, and Mike Rotch. We used to mainly hang out in tht "Guess The Aircraft" thread. Why did we let that die? :(

You know, I was thinking about reviving that. Perhaps I shall.

The first GTP-famous people I really hung out with were Der Alta and some youngster named youth cycler who doesn't come around much any more.

I still don't think I know any well-known folks. lol I contributed to Mike Rotch's Book Review Thread (another excellent thread that died) and was given praise on my review there from him. But that's about it.

Well, maybe Kolyana. She's not an admin but she's cool. And faster than I in the WRS....
 
When I joined two years ago, I acted like a total n00b, and never really got to know anyone very well. But I argued with plenty of people all the time. I (mediocrely) argued with Famine all the time, and of course made myself look like an idiot. And the idiot reputation stuck. So from now on, I will try and show that I am actually not an idiot and try and contribute more. (sorry, just had to get that out of my system) Well, I guess the first GTP member I actually got to know was Buzbo. Partly because I introduced him. (a bad move) But now I have gotten to know all the regulars in the convo forum.

The first time I saw you was in the Simpsons Quiz Thread. You used to frequent that when you first joined.
 
Well I come from the older school. So a lot of the moderators today were just members when I joined. You got Pako, DerAlta and Taletless, Klos, Miata, Mr. P, Mazkid... it goes on for awhile. Everyone from that time era talked a lot to each other. Before the closing of GTF.
 
I suppose the first member i remember talking to most at first was JohnBM01 - quite an individual.
 
Mike Rotch, Shannon and the rest of them in The Colour Blue.

I joined GTP just after the thread's peak. I think.

Same. I used to talk a lot with Josh, Tom McDonnell, Ghostrider, Pako, and kyle(insert random numbers here), just to name a few. A couple of us even had our own Return to Castle Wolfenstein multiplayer demo clan. Those were the days folks. :guilty:

I remember the days when I got PM's from you asking me about Nitto.
 
Long before I registered, back when the forums still used the code "and&sp" or something like that, I watched the Rumple Forum with sn00pie, Sage (I think) Der Alta and Duke (in other places) and of course, duh, Rumple Foreskin.

I gotta thank Kent (or at the time GoKents) for letting me in the club when my email activation wouldn't work. :) Why were all those classic threads deleted? :( They were great reads....
 
Back in the day, when I first started visiting here, Der Alta (who I've adapted something in this very post from) and neon duke were my first friends (who happened to be the cool kids at the time). I then met youth_cycler and y2tuscan. I also remember being pretty good friends with Rumple Foreskin as well. M5Power ended up being more of an AIM friend rather than a GTP friend, if that makes any sense.

After a long break I've become more of a lurker. Similar to those scary guys you see in dark alley ways.

I wish I was the great AO, but those are Der Alta's initals. I remember asking him if it was okay if I could initial my posts. Then I realized they are the reverse of his!
