I've only gone and found some corner names!

Does anybody know of a GTPer who lives in or near Blackpool? We could get this to go a lot further.

I am so proud of Muller Corner.

What's the length of this layout?

I wonder if there'll be any horseplay at "Tesco Value Turn". :P

They better have the bravery of 2 Ayrton Senna's, 3 powerslide Gilles Villenueve's and 1 Nikki Lauda to even make it half the race distance.

Because this is a British circuit based in a British supermarket car park. Plus, I have never heard of Tostitos and they are not available here, but Doritos seem to be the same kind of thing.

Yes, you are right they pretty much are. Yet just because it is a an overseas race, doesn't mean it can't have American named corners or straights like other international tracks.

As I said, I have NEVER heard of Tostitos, so I couldn't put it on the circuit.

Uh, guys...fantasy circuits? If there's not already a thread on this, begin one.

I'm glad the NJ race is back on. Out of the three new races for next year this was the one I most wanted included.

I do think Russia will happen, if it has Putin involved in it then it's going to happen. I know they've missed the deadline but in LMSCorvette's other post the FIA said they had until September to apply.

I think it's that the FIA usually confirms next year's calendar by September. Not meant to be any sort of closing deadline for actual contracts.

That would be such a massive shame if this doesn't get worked out. I'm 70% sure it will though.

Yeah that's usually about when they confirmed it. If I remember rightly they first showed the 'draft' 2013 calendar at the Singapore GP but didn't 100% confirm it until January this year?

This is true, just keeping people up to date on Russia.

Read these two articles together and you will notice that the NJGP is NOT back on the table (if both articles are true). First article came out in June, the 2nd one came out on the 29th of July.

To be fair, one is an actual news article, the other is just Lauda's hearsay.

I personally prefer a wait and see approach to these things though as it seems every new GP is on and off 100 times before a final decision is reached.

I knew they won't complete the F1 circuit in Sochi in time!
Moscow Raceway is a good track, but it can't host a Formula 1 race. So they are now building a circuit in the Olympic Park of Sochi. But it looks like they're running late. Nothing in this country goes as planned... :D

Does anyone know why India has been moved forward on the calendar?

Originally Bernie wanted next year's Indian GP to be in April on the first four flyaways so Russia could slot in India's October place. But they couldn't host two races in 6 months due to financial reasons so India is not going to be hosted next year but will return in the 2015 season.
