xbox? don't make me laugh!
i've seen many budget threads, but none this extreme, so... try this one...

rules:

1. you have a budget of cr.5,000 (yes, that's it)
2. no purchaseable (i.e. stuff that costs, so normal tyres are allowed) upgrades are allowed, save for any upgrades in gt auto. (like you can afford any upgrades :dopey: )
3. there is NO BHP LIMIT ('cause the 5,000cr. budget is hard enough)
4. a full history of the car you are using (just from when you first bought it to now) would be nice
5. the track you will be posting for is FUJI SPEEDWAY '80S
6. proof is not required (because i'm not too sure how to upload a pic from my computer so i don't want to be a hipocrit), but PLEASE BE HONEST!

may sound hard, so i'll post my first attempt, which you can use as an example.

starting budget: 5,000

bought a ballade sports CR-X 1.5i '83 costs 4,444 has 98bhp
remaining budget 556

made an oil change costs 50 up to 108bhp
remaining budget 506

added a new wheel set costs 500
remaining budget 6

final budget 6 final power 108bhp

lap time 1'49.751

right, that's the starting time. try to beat that! (NOTE: May be easy.)

Seems interesting enough, might give it a try. Cr.5,000 though, its going to be more of a challenge finding the car than actually making times.

So, with the Cr.5,000 that was given to me, I went to the local Honda dealership. I was dissapointed when the cheapest NSX there was Cr.28,000, but as I went to leave, I saw something very sweet. A 1983 Honda City Turbo II, in white. Cr.4,332 poorer, I crawl out the dealership with my new City. Cr.50 was spent on a bottle of Castrol motor oil, and while I was at the GT Auto, got some wheels from the Cizeta V16T supercar for Cr.500, bargain! Total I spent Cr.4,882. At Fuji, the City was dyno'd for the first time in its life, a healthy 110bhp still exists in the old box.

My first lap was a 1'50.536, after I underestimated my brakes, then overestimated my suspension. :ouch:

Edit: And then after performing a lap that corrected my previous mistakes, I lapped Fuji in 1'48.669. I am 1st! :D

i tried another time...

starting budget: 5,000cr.

bought honda civic 1500 3door 25i '83 costs cr.4,161 89hp
oil change cr. 50 up to 98hp
wheels cr. 500

final budget cr.289 final power 98hp

lap time 1'52.623 :ouch:

I gave this one a shot.
I started with the 1983 Honda Ballade Sports CR-X 1.5i for $4,444.
815Kg and 98hp
Added a $50 oil change and went racing.
815Kg and 108hp.
Total cost: $4,494
Time:1'45.710

ok heres my budget story:

1st - I go and buy a Nissan BLUEBIRD Hardtop 1800SSS (910) '79 for 4437 quid
2nd - The girls gets filled up with oil - budget left 513 pounds
3rd - Some nice Enkei038 Wheels

So i head to the track:

a 1.54.878 - a hugely dissapointing lap time
