Uncharted is incredible and I've recently per-ordered U3 but as I keep hearing how awesome U2 is, I'll have to pick it up sometime. 👍

Going old-skool, Final Fantasy (the original Nintendo version) blew me away with how deep it went, for the time, of course and continuing that tradition, FFIII/VI, FFVII and FFVIII consumed a lot of my time in the mid to late '90's.
 
I agree Uncharted is indeed an amazing game. 1 and 2. Killzone 3 is also quite amazing. I played through that game several times in co-op. Some insane battles in there.

Oh yes and Final Fantasy 13!

There are so many games I could list. IN fact I have an actual list of games with amazing moments but the list is HUGE. Even if I just used the 360 as an example the list would be huge.
 
Final Fantasy X. I absolutely loved that game and got totally drawn in to it's world and the story. ICO is the only game that's ever come close to matching it in terms of being sucked in and amazed at. The entire game is stunningly beautiful, even today.
 
So far, FM4. It's the cars that make me go wow mainly.

The game that made me go wow was R: Racing Evolution. It featured 30 well rendered vehicles, 3 unique liveries for each in addition to 3 stages of tuning modifications for power, handling, and weight, realistic handling, intelligent ai, great story mode, and a rich event challenge mode. Sure the music sucks, but its a game by namco so that's expected. Blew me away in 2009.

X didn't really do it for me. Sure, I played the crap out of it but I only bought it because it was Final Fantasy. For me, the series dropped off after FFVII.
Perhaps I haven't gotten over Aerith's death yet.
Do I still need spoiler tags for a 14 year old game? :lol:

:lol: I wouldn't think you would need a spoiler.

It took me a while to get over that.When that happened i yelled noooo! so loud my mom came rushing in thinking something was wrong.When she seen it was just over my game she shook her head and closed the door.:lol:
 
Not getting over her death is one thing... I still haven't recovered from my favourite character 'dieing' halfway through Lufia II. Or rather, losing him as a playable charakter. I'm still annoyed by that, and we're talking about an old Super Nintendo game :lol:

Dang I thought I was the only person in the world that knew about that game. Yes it was an excellent game and very underrated. Graphics were great, gameplay was great, very fun. The challenge mode kept me busy for a long time. Eventually I did finish everything. I even had a website set up with all the pics of each car from that game. :dopey:
 
I can't believe no one (myself included) chose any of the Grand Theft Auto games. (also Red Dead Redemption)

Good God! Those are mind blowing games.

Grand Theft Auto V was just recently annouced and I can't wait to see what they do.

I was trying to stick to 360 games. But Vice City produced one of my most memorable gaming experiences. The first time I was able to save up enough money to buy the hotel that had the helicopter on top. I remember the feeling of flying that thing around the entire city for hours and hours listening to the V Rock soundtrack. Songs like "2 Minutes to Midnight", "I wanna Rock" , "Too Young to Fall in Love", "Madhouse", and Raining Blood". Every time I hear those songs I think of VC. Just such an epic memory for me. San Andreas was good too but VC is my favorite. GTA4 was a massive disappointment. Crackdown 1 and Saints Row 2 re-produced that Vice City euphoria for me. Hopefully GTA5 goes back to the roots when the game was FUN. Let us buy houses and cars and customize everything like in SA and VC.

The time when VC came out was also the same time I had Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. Which is still one of my favorite racing games to this day. I belive during that same time period I also had Timesplitters. So that week or 2 was just such an amazing experience.

Gauntlet Dark Legacy also produced a lot of great 4 player couch co-op memories on the PS2 and xbox.
 
Red Dead Redemption was also an absolute wow for me. It was so atmospheric!

Just riding around somewhere during the night was quite fun due to the insane atmoshpere the game created...Hunting for wolves and bears and stuff was also very, very enjoyable.

Alsso, Turok Evolution. The multi player part really gave me some epic memories :lol:
Me and my friends would gather around the TV, put a large piece of cardboard in the middle of the screen to shield our part of the screen from bein seen by the opponent and just started to kill each other... Fun times, fun times.

Rainbox Six 3: Raven Shield did a similar thing. First actual LAN game me and my buddies played back in the day. I still have to chuckle when I think about how we would always sneak into one of the small bathrooms in one of the specific maps, close the door, lie down on the floor to camp, armed with a M249. We would wait until some footsteps became audible, then opened fire like mad :lol:
 
Yes RDR was fun at first. The dynamic animals that would run around while you were hunting. I liked that part a lot especially with co-op friends. Everyone running around shooting bears and other animals made for some serious laughs. :lol:

Another game that made me go wow was the Halo 2 matchmaking multiplayer. Never played Halo 1 and never knew anything about Halo. But after I got an XBOX the people on GTP recommended that I get Halo 2 for sure. So I got the game and played through the campaign but didnt understand the hype. So everyone on GTP again, said "Make sure you check out the matchmaking multiplayer". So I went home that night tried it out and was hooked for about 3 years straight. :lol: It was nothing I ever experienced in my years of gaming online. Just the concept of putting you into a room with 15 other players on random maps AND Matchmaking was so amazing to me. I loved how it would put me with people of my skill level. And that level went up and down depending on how I was doing. That was so innovative! Day after day night after night I was so addicted to that matchmaking. Only played the Halo 2 campaign once but dang that matchmaking multiplayer was fun.

Another game that I miss was Destruction Derby Arenas for the PS2. 20 players online in full destruction. Especially in multiplayer maps that actually moved and could destroy you. Many fun lan parties with that game. Still nothing else out there like DDA.
 
World of Warcraft. It was the first game that literally made me say wow. The world was so huge and you could do so much.
 
Forza 4: A few of the tracks have wow factor
Gran Turismo 5: Some of the replays/photos etc can look insanely real.
Uncharted 2: Need i say more? When you had to climb to the top of the building in a city, i honestly stood there for a few minutes in awe almost, at the 360 degree view from the top.

There's prolly more.
 
The Uncharted Series: My wife anticipates each release and she watches as I play an hour or so each night after release. So many amazing moments

Demon/ Dark Souls: Again, the only other series she will actually watch me play. Demon battles are so intense the first time, and the feeling of satisfaction after you beat one is incomparable to any other game.

GT5: Spa from cockpit view in 3D is indescribable. I thought 3D would be a gimmick but once I got the right settings it is absolutely the way to go. Only had the tv a week and have probably about 20 hours in already. So many other times where I just had immense satisfaction, including nailing a WRS lap. I hope Forza 4 will be the same but I won't get it until Xmas and will be using a controller.:(
 
I agree about Uncharted. Thats easily the best series on the PS3. So smooth and action packed. Amazing games and I cant wait to play the 3rd. The only game kinda comparable on the 360 is Enslaved but again its nowhere near as good as Uncharted.
 
I loved Uncharted! I can't wait for Uncharted 3. As for a comparable better game, I prefer the Tomb Raider series.

Yes BF2 MC was such a fun game. I used to love being the engineer to fix the tanks and throw out the mines. Played the heck out of it on the xbox and then played it quite a bit on the 360. Thats why I was looking forward to BF3 as a true sequal but it looks like it still has all the online connection issues that EA typically has with shooters. So I will just rent BF3 for the campaign.

Crysis 2 and Gears 3 are also great games. I want to buy Crysis 1 for the 360 but will probably wait until I get some ms points at christmas. Too many other great games to play right now.

The EA servers have been improved and as I said in the other thread are dedicated and issues are sorted out !

Engineer was awesome, I used to love sneaking up behind enemy tanks throwing the mine down - taking a few steps backwards and RPG'ing it !!! Backstab and bridge too far maps should be brought into BF3 !! Two amazing maps all but forgotten :(

From all my EA experience even recently, they have not improved when it comes to shooters. I have played pretty much all the EA shooters out there too. You can even view my gamercard. EA servers are EA servers and always have been unreliable.

The other thing I used to do was stand in the middle of the road and taunt a Humvee with crew on board to try and run me down, whip out the RPG and blast them, If I was SMG class i'd use C4 !

It just wasn't anywhere near as fun in any of the Bad Company games or 1943 (however 1943 was awesome !)
 
I agree about the Bad Company series. It just never felt the same at all. I could not get into those games.
 
The siren for the artillary strike was hilarious watching people run for cover and all you used to hear was C4 flying past your head and all sorts ! And parachuting from buildings ! Scattering the flags with C4 / Mines! Ahh the memories.

I did like them but as you said they had a different feeling and it was for the worse.

BF2 MC was for me the best FPS game ever made - now its dead and buried !
 
As much as I enjoyed BF2, the best online FPS for me is Halo 3 and Halo Reach. So well balanced, has true matchmaking, and cheaters are pretty much non existent. Plus there is just so much to do in those games especially in Halo Reach. Co-op campaign, co-op firefight, and so much more. I never get sick of those 2 FPS multiplayer games.
