You should do a poll to see which of all the winners here would people like the most....

Winner takes it all ;)

Would the answer still be the Miata?

Just by the by, if you have any ideas for good polls, feel free to post them here. I'm just working on this myself in a Europe-USA-Japan rotation and trying to think of cars that are both interesting and that don't have an automatic, obvious vote.

Good idea. I had some "specific car types from one manufacturer as a future idea" as well as, perhaps, cars from the same time period but from different manufacturers, as in that generation of hot hatches or that generation of executive saloons.

Jaguar XJ.
Also a good one. It'll be added to the list.

Some suggestions:

Europe: Audi A4 (or RS4)
USA: Chevrolet Camaro
Japan: Toyota Celica

Next poll after the Jaguar XJ will be delayed a week because I'm away and won't be near a computer. Should be back on the 14th.

I am considering, after a few more typical threads, to do some different types of polls where the cars polled will be each other's competitors of a similar, but not necessarily identical, class and time period. Some examples I have thought of:

Death Of The Supercar - Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1, Bugatti EB110, Ferrari F50
1980s Hot Hatches - Renault 5 Turbo, Peugeot 205 GTi, Lancia Delta Integrale, Volkswagen Golf GTi
BTCC Supertouring - Honda Accord, Audi A4, Vauxhall Vectra, Nissan Primera, Renault Laguna
Golden Age Of Pony Cars - Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, Plymouth Barracuda, AMC Javelin
Gran Turismo Arcade Mode* - Nissan Skyline, Honda NSX, Mistubishi GTO, Toyota Supra

*Alternative title "Club 276hp"

Those are not comprehensive lists of those types. Any help or suggestions for such threads would be appreciated. Perhaps if I announce the intended poll ahead of time, users can nominate certain cars to make sure something isn't accidentally omitted?
