So far my gold list:
- NSX Type R
- ZZ II

Been looking for Amuse S2K R1, it was my favouriteon GT4
 
Recently got the Peugeot 908 HDi and its a monster. Compared to my Audi R10 the thing just feels much more alive. Not saying the R10 isnt amazing, but the 908 has some serious thrill dripping from it.
 
Viper ACR (I dont like dodge either) Is a beast, been using it online doing street races.

SS7 go into drive turn around and come to tunnel and there is action usually. We run to the first set of green lights from the shadow line before tunnel. Pick a time and leave on that. Return down the emergency lane. :)

Organized street racing on GT5 FTW!!!
 
audi rs6 fully tuned. love destroying almost anything off the line in a station wagon, for those that don't know,
AUDI RS6 = station wagon w/ V10TT + AWD = 940 HP = win

Ahaha I must agree, I have one full mod. too, and this car is a really bad boy.
But more Keychain cars do this too, not only the Daihatsu.:)

Since we have the black list of crap cars it's only fair that we have one were we post the excellent ones. Here are my personal favorites.

Ferrari Enzo: This car is a complete beast, I've left it completely stock and before I finish any session of GT I take it for atleast one lap around the Ring on Sport Hard tires. This IMO highlights the biggest strength of GT5, and that's the vast improvement in physics. This car combo is extremely challenging, and soon I will tackle it with Comfort Soft. Totally worth the 1mil credits.

PS. the engine is worked in to 690bhp stock!!! Wheel spin in every gear after every bump. This car is not for beginners and not for racers without a wheel IMO, with aids all off this car is a hand full for veterans even. BUT, there isn't a more rewarding feeling than getting a corner right in this machine. (My PB is currently 7:17.xxx on Nurburgring, I'd love to hear if anyone tries it)

Maserati GranTurismo S: For the simple reason of hearing its engine either stock of fully moded, on a good sound system (logitech z5500) it is unbelievable, and it doesnt drive to bad either. As good as any gran tourer.

Honda NSX-R: The handling on this car is bordering on telepathic. IMO Honda made a huge mistake in discontinuing an iconic super sports car, not to mention it had Ayrton Senna's hand prints all over it. Modded or stock, this car is a pleasure to drive, and absolute must have for any driving enthusiast.

Wow..I agree with you on all your points.
At first I was upset that the Enzo couldn't turn to save it's life. But one night I put some time into it's setup on Tsukuba and clocked into the mid 0:52's on race rubber.

When I first won the Maserati, I didn't think I would drive it much because I've had experience with it in real life. And didn't respect it as a real sports car, the paddle shifters felt large and cheap and it didn't handle like a sports car. But this S model is a different beast and I can appreciate it now, in the game and real life.

The NSX-R has always been my favorite car since it's inception. I clock race car times(low 0:54's) on Tsukuba with this beast on race rubber. IMO it's the easiest to drive fast and most balanced car in the game.
I still contemplate on purchasing one now.
 
I am at the moment buying JDM sports cars, to take them out on Tsukuba and The Ring, to compare stock performance against tuning them up.

Many cars completely change face doing so, but one car next to the NSX really shines as well: the Nissan Skyline R34.

It has such a refined drivetrain, I leave it stock completely.
It is extremely well balanced, much different to it's former incarnations, especially the R33 (which has better looks but poorer handling).

I wasn't that big of a fan, before GT5, but now I love the Enzo. I was initially very displeased with it's stock performance but have it tuned to the max and dialed in quite nicely now. I am thinking of detuning it (putting stock exhaust, etc) since I enjoy driving it in the game so much.

Gonna have to get some practice in on the Ring to see what my PB can be, though.

True that. Also love this car. Would have loved for Honda to give this some badly needed attention. I was quite disappointed with their continually changing goal posts for the NSX replacmement and then it's cancellation, of course. What i hoped Honda would do is keep the same platform but continue to slowly evolve. Incorporate Type-R features and standardize them into a single coupe model (targas were always the heaviest and worst performing... and of course that's all North America got after the 99 Zanardi). 3.5 and 3.8l upgrades should have been seen in 2002 and 2005 until they adapted the car to put in a V10 or V12 in a similar MR chassis with some suitable technology updates. Ah well. The Honda of Soichiro has long been dead. All Fukui and Ito are interested in is selling more Accords and Odysseys. :(

Just took the Callaway C12 for a spin on Nurburgring and it was wonderful. Left it completely stock, with Sports hards and it was a pleasure to drive.

I would like to add the Honda S800 RSC Race Car '68: It is an awesome little car i found today in the UCD for about $200,000 cr. It handles great and it´s so much fun to drive :).

I picked up the LFA the other day after passing on it for weeks and it is a blast. I fully tuned mine right away, but its a zippy and the gauge cluster is a joy to look at.
 
XANAVI NISMO GT-R '03
Can't think of a car that's faster than this one in the 400-450 KW-class at about 1000kg, there are at most just a few, which could maybe keep up.
Actually I think it can even almost keep up with the furai, even though the furai is many hundred Kg lighter.

Btw, this version ist a little bit faster, than the two XANAVI's from the Nissan dealership.

Mobil 1 NSX '01
Just sleightly slower than the Nissan above.
Can't keep up regarding the power, but its handling is just awesome.

Haven't tested it much, but well, it's the road version of the R390 race car and i think, it haven't to hide from it.
Nice 250-400(500) kw-class car, i think.
 
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
My number 1 favorite car in the entire game because it's such a serious car but it has a sense of humor aswell. It's such a manly car as in it has a big V8 with heaps of power and rear wheel drive, looks stunning and what a way to drift.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4SV
Amazing machine, looks scary and mean, sounds like an animal and despite the slight understeer, if you play your cards right it's pretty rewarding. Some people criticize the car for being too big or too heavy, but, for a car of it's size 1600 or so KGs really isn't that bad. Forget drifting this, it's not built for that, forget racing it against other cars or trying to beat lap times in it because I find the best way to enjoy this car is around any European track on your own, just driving it for the sake of it because you like the car.

Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1
Like the Z06 but it's on cocaine. The LS9 is a brilliant engine, huge power and it's massive fun. Doesn't get too out of control either like you'd expect. The thing I like most is this.. it can do similar lap times to an F430 or a Gallardo. In my opinion it's a budget supercar.

I had to come back to say this, how could I forget it:

I honestly can't think of how to explain this. It's fabulous in every single way. I love the retro styling, I love the big 6.2 litre V8, I love the gullwing doors, I love the grip, the gearbox, the steering.. It's all just brilliant.

I am not understanding the ZZII love. Sure it is fast, but the understeer kills the enjoyment.

Most enjoyable 4WD car, even more than the Gallardo or the R8

Very well balanced and enjoyable to drive

Honda NSX Type R ~ Totally agree with what everyone else had been saying, this thing handles like a dream. Slap some soft sports on it and off you go. Its such a shame that they dont produce it anymore. =(

Subaru Cusco Dunlop Impreza ~ You can really chuck this thing around. Especially if you buy some soft racing tires for it. With the thing upgraded, I was able to match lap times i set in my Nomad Diablo in my custom 7km "testing track" in Eifel. It sticks to the road like glue, even when the sudden crest in a braking zone tries to unstick it.

Honda Civic Type R FD ~ With mild power mods, and full weight/suspension mods, this thing will really surprise you. Bring it to around 300hp, and put some soft sports on it. Tune the toe and stiffen the rear suspension to dial out the understeer, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Although I've got to say that I'm a little biased towards any Hondas with red badges (I own the european Type R sibling IRL), but just try it and see for yourself. And cockpit view in this car feels "just right", good visibility, nice driving position. Too bad the infamous "V-tec just kicked in yo!" transition sound isnt really there =(

Honda Civic Type R EK ~ I've got mine RM'd and fully upgraded. All I've got to say is daaaaaaayum, I can say that it punches well above its class. When you're used to it and know how to avoid the understeer, this thing is really chuckable! (again, a little biased towards Hondas with red badges).

Lotus Elise 111R ~ I've got mine upgraded to around 240hp, with full handling and driveline mods, with medium racing tires. It's handling is borderline TELEPATHIC! Dare I say it handles better than the NSX? But I do feel that the NSX's handling is more "progressive", the Elise is more "twitchy", thus keeping you on your toes when you venture to the edge of adhesion.

Ferrari F10 / F2007 ~ Both of these machines are just pure bliss when you push it to its limit. It's just so damn rewarding when you get a perfect lap in. It's not stupid fast like the X1, but for "fun factor", I love it to bits! (although I'm no Ferrari fan when it comes to F1).
 
Seat Ibiza Cupra '04 - I love my yellow Seat. Once it's tuned a bit, and you can sort out the understeer then it becomes a brilliant car. I was playing around last night on a 300hp max server - and won every race I was in, beating Lancers, Imprezas and Skylines - some of which even had race tyres on. Sounds good with an upgraded exhaust too - very bassy.

Honda CR-X SiR '90 - Possibly the best handling front-wheel drive car I've come across. It's light and moderately powerful. Mine is tuned to around 190hp and weighs around 800kg - can run rings around cars with twice the power once you've found a sweet spot with the handling.

Lotus Evora '09 - Again, lightweight and moderately powerful. My stock one is fun for throwing around a track with cars in the 350-400hp bracket. I have a tuned one too, which with a wing and extra power can keep up with Super GT cars online. Although the short wheelbase does make it a bit tail-happy it just adds to the fun.

Autobacs Garaiya '02 - The road one. Actually drifts very well if the suspension is tuned towards oversteer! Another quick car when set up just right.

Amuse S2000 R1 '04 - Handles like it's on rails, without having to play with the suspension. Has a lovely exhaust note, too. Can really get some close racing in with one of these.

Super GT NSX's: I own the Epson NSX but I assume all the other ones have the same perfect balance of Speed and Handling.

Cadillac CIEN: Been one of my Fav's since Concept 2002. Uber fast, great sound and great drive.

Nissan R92CP: Consumes small children!

I'm driving it around Le Mans(training for a event with other fellow GTPeers)stock-with oil change-and no ABS(or any other assist as a matter of fact),after adjusting the breaking bias,of course!!!👍

It has a great sound,handles very smoothly(it is a lightweight race car after all) and it's a blast to drive in cockpit view.:)
