In 1998 I bought an Official Playstation magazine, stuck to it was the first Gran Turismo Demo, which I still have. It features a red Impreza not available in non Japanese version of the full game.
When Gran Turismo 1 came out myself and 3 friends made a special excursion to buy a copy each. An independent shop let us have copies a day early. People were in awe of the intro, let alone the game itself.
Anyway, needless to say I bought all the games as they came out and enjoyed all of them. Although I thought putting Nitrous in to "GT 4" was a mistake. "Tourist Trophy" was a prologue to something that never came to fruition. But always the nirvana was to play online, promised way back with "GT 3" on PS2.
Finally we are here but guess what, we are swamped with "Burnout" fans who don't know draughting or a switch-back manoevre and are crashing and barging their way through what is and always has been a driving simulator.
The best we can hope for is that with time the novelty of Gran Turismo will wear off for these individuals and they will go elsewhere. Hopefully then the programmers will realise we do not need to be clumsily penalised by the code itself. Giving us an option to turn off these intrusions in to our racing.
Roll on race invites and lobbies with player communication through bluetooth headsets. See you on track, randomly for now.

Oh yes, another wishlist thread :D Man, it gets me excited every time :D Joking.

Pro-Drive, although your points are all valid, and majority of people who are coming to this site are backing you up in your stances, there is around 90% of players in general that are "casual". And they do not take games very serious, they just want to have fun.

In this "phase" of Prologue game, there are no private lobbies because all Prologue is one big beta-test. PD have to make a serious testing for all future online-options and such and you just have to accept it, like it or not.

If you'd do some searching on the forum, you'd probably discovered that there are strong assurances that in one point (speculation often comes in dates of infamous "Fall Update") Prologue will bring the option to have private lobbies.

Until then, have patience and try to race as clean as you can with all othere drivers. One day, you'll get Private Rooms for sure, but until than, have fun and use the search button :)

Cheers, mate.

As amar said, grin and bear it until the Autumn update. I tend to laugh at the punters now, whereas before, I would wind up in a rage. Problems will be sorted in the Autumn update - I hope.

You have to look at what is going to be coming out in the future for the PS3 as far as racing games go.

Yes, we don't need another thread like this. Pro-Drive, although your post is of a higher quality than many other threads we've locked, I do feel however that your comments could've been placed elsewhere if time was taken to look for a more appropriate place to post it. Feel free to look around, or even do a search, and post again elsewhere if you desire to do so.

Locked.
