I was having a look (and a drive) with about all the japanese( stock of course) cars and wanted to see wich one is the
absolutely best one...

I drove quite some cars i can tell ya and finally my ultimate
TOP- car is the HONDA NSX..

It just has everything!

It's most of all the engine... can't get enough of the noise.. and also the souplesse of it! I remberber putting it against all sorts of supercars like corvette ZO6 , TVR, RUF,...( 20 mph in 3' ) -> simply nothing can keep up... and a lot less bhp !!!

And then there is the line.... It really is one of the best looking Japanese. car. Like the Italian rear.

and then there is the handling... The nsx isn't such an oversteerer but it's all about efficiency... such a pleasant ride

I don't think there is a Japanese. car with so much quality's..
REALLY LOVE IT NOW!

Feel free to have another opinion:)

greets

Steve

I'll throw in my two cents and state my choice: the Toyota GT-One Road Car souped up to 1122hp. I enjoy lapping the competition in it. ^_^

Quattro there has just been a test on all of thee cars you should have a look at it :) I dont think the NSX did so well tho.

Yeah, you really should take a look. Thread- "Japan vs. America vs. UK"

NSX is nothing special, its really not even that fast, the engine sounds good and it looks pretty cool, but the only thing its good for is Type R challenges, its gets smoked in every other race outside of begginer

The greatest Japanese car has to be Speed Racer's Mark 5. But if you're talking about cars within GT3, I would have to say the GT-One Race Car.

You can't buy it, but even if you could, it would be 500,000 credits.
Someone make a ZZII appreciation thread, because you people love that car too d*mn much.

I happen to think the NSX is an ok car. I own two but never drive them, but I do have a passion for them... somewhat. I don't have any of the racing NSXs (castrol mugen, arta, raybrig), but I will get them. Someday.

i actually prefer the rx7-rz to any nsx...

even car mags say it is rather dated now. brilliant when it first came out.... but just really dated now

Come on guys... you're talking about gt one, 787B and the ZZII, but my god, that are race cars for le mans !(exept for the zzII)... As for the NORMAL cars I maybe could agree that the RX7 and the Skyline can compete.

And its not just about being able to beat the crap out of some car... its about the driving, the feel, the sound, NOT just speed !

Hi I'm new here :)

I agree on the NSX having the best sound and (almost) the best handling ;) I think it's slightly better than the RX-7 because the RX-7 gets a bit hairy and unstable when you're pushing it to the limit around corners, where as the NSX is just perfect, with the right amount of throttle steer to make it do whatever you want it to do. I really really love the sound of it above 6000 rpm :D

I still think the R34 GT-R is the best handling of the Japanese :P It just does what you want it to do when you want it to do it.

i agree with ving rx-7 over nsx... other japanese cars that are tight.... r33 (in 400r form and lightened)... 350z...rx-8 isnt so great in gt3.... ummmm oh yeah 22b would kick nsx ass with the right driver even evos would... and i believe that all of the above look much nicer than nsx... not attacking nsx lovers just what i think... nsx does sound nice... but rotary sound better hehehe

Wouldn't be so sure about that.. Don't really think those can kick an nsx ass...(I'll have a look at it this afternoon :) )
And as for the looks... Do you really find that a 22B and all the evo's look better than the NSX!?

The NSX does look pretty, it'a a very nice car to drive too. Based on looks, if compared against a 22B and Evo I'll definately say the NSX is better.

The NSX doesn't look too nice...The 22B STi looks good though! Same with the Evo VI! :D

are you kidding? :) Please don't tell me that you find an evo or a 22B prettier than the NSX !

hi,

I have an NSX I drive daily on GT3,
I must say, although I'm totally not a Japanese car fanatic,
the NSX is the most perfect japanese car ever.
It's nice to drive as it is standard, but,
my 'cruise' NSX:
Black metallic paint,
nice big 5-spoke rims on it,
race exaust (VERY nice sound AND now has 322 BHP)

I must say there is a very big difference of driving a standard or mine, the 322 bhp from the exhaust helps enormously to the souplesse of it in lower revs, but hey, in the end, you have to kick some high revvving ass...

Skyline R34 Vspec (i think thats the new one)

And is it true that the Infiniti G35 (US) Is the new Skyline in Japan? I own a G35 Coupe and i always wanted to own a skyline! :D
