THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, we're focusing on one car and its variations. Last winner @Cytoria set this theme, here are the details :

« In the Gran Turismo series, fantasy race cars have always been a part of the fun. They even got their own "Dream Car Championship" in most of the iterations of the game.
This week I want you to focus on one of the most recent and italian member of the breed : the Alfa Romeo 4C. It has an awesome style but also some quirky shapes so it'll be an intersting base to work on.»

CARS :
- Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.4.
- Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3.
- Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.3 Road Car.

LIVERIES :
- Original designs only, no replicas (i.e. no 155 Touring Car livery on it).

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- The livery must be Sport Mode compatible.

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS :
- Up to Two Bonus Pictures allowed.
- One of the pictures must be taken in an italian location.

USER MADE DECALS :
- No restrictions.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.

FINAL ENTRY
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!

FINAL ENTRY
Lotus Exige Cup Concept

Link (coming soon).
Considering how similar the 4C looks to a few of Lotus's modern mid-engined designs (particularly the Elise, Exige Series 2 and Evora), I immediately had the idea of turning the Gr.4 version into a potential future racing model from the Hethel-based manufacturer. When first starting this, the idea was to badge this as an 'Evora' as there is already a comparable GT4 version in real life, but after developing it further I decided that the Gr.4 was closer in spirit and appearance to the Exige Series 2 (two seats, coupe, four-cylinder engine). Hence why it sports 'Exige' badging even though the Series 3 was redesigned to incorporate V6 engines. The 'LOTUS' badging on the rear was created by myself using Photoshop and a font not too dissimilar to what the company has been using recently.

Since Cyan Racing have historically competed in Swedish GT with an Evora GT4, it wouldn't be strange for them to have some involvement in developing a similarly-specced racing version of an Exige successor. Hence why I added their logo in some places and ended up making a second version sporting a representation of their trademark blue base colour.

Special thanks to @Cytoria for letting me use his 2019 Lotus logo decal for this entry. Looking forward to seeing what others have in store for this competition, and wishing all entrants a safe and Merry Christmas.

UPDATE: Links added for both Yellow and Cyan versions; see main post.

4C PeteBoyd Racing Intesa SanPaolo

For my entry, I created the Alfa Romeo Challenge (I'm proud of my plate :D) & the PeteBoyd Racing team (thank you Parker Racing for logo inspiration ). Drivers names derive from mine and one of my friend's.

I went full Italian on the sponsors (Intesa SanPaolo, Secure Network, 505 Games and ATM) with partially orange logos to match the car colors.

Oh! And I used the Road Car because it's the only one I have and I hadn't made a livery for it.

Alfa Romeo 4C-sons

Livery Link
To be fair I didn't have any ideas for a livery, as the number board placement doesn't leave much room for designs to be made.
I knew I wanted it to be a pun, so I started making a livery with the Four Seasons hotel chain as the main sponsor, but then I thought "we're here to play and have fun, let's put the four actual seasons in the livery", and here we are.
In typical Alfa Romeo fashion (all passion but sometimes lacking in the logical aspects) all the seasons are there but not in order, just as I think they would do it.

I also decided to go with the road version of the Alfa 4c, since you don't often get that opportunity to do a livery on it. This challenge I wanted to stick to the classic gran turismo livery theme. The livery had to be very simple but striking. The colors are based on the italian flag. However, i mostly left out the white color to make the two red and green tones appear ultra contrasting. I hope you like it.

FINAL ENTRY

The GTPlanet Cup for 2021 has opened up to include manufacturer backed teams in the field. With Ferrari planning on running a factory backed entry in the WEC in 2022, they view this as a great opportunity to build am experienced team, just not under the Ferrari name yet. Enter the JR Ferrari Racing Team.

PALIO DI SIENA: OCA ALFA ROMEA 4C GT3

Tough category this one, and coming up with a theme was a bit tricky until I remember the amazing annual horse race that runs through the streets of Siena. The Palio di Siena is contested between the various areas of Siena (17 in total), who each have a 'Contrada', represented by an Animal. For my entry, I picked Oca (Goose), who have been the most successful Contrada over the centuries with 65 wins, the last being in 2013. Each Contrada has their own colours and flag design, which I've integrated onto the livery. Custom decals have to be made, including the Oca Contrada logo as well as the Coat of Arms for Siena on the roof and the driver numbers.

For those who aren't aware of it, it's quite a sight, and the BBC made a piece on it a few years ago.

I did something different on this one. I made sure to only use the game-provided decals.
I wanted to see what kind of wild designs I could come up with, using the basic shapes and colors.
Other than the left and right sides being the same, I created a different type of graphic design for each of the front, back, hood, roof, rear window, and rear wing.

There's nothing racecar about it. Just using the car as a canvas for art. :)

I hope you like it. 👍

GRP__KTA FINAL ENTRY

BONUS PHOTOS

Hey guys I’m new here. Been designing on forza for a few years but got a PS5 and GT Sport was top of my list until GT7 comes out.

I have only had the game a week so this is my first livery, I originally wanted to do a design based on a football team as it’s something else Italy is known for but I decided to go for a cleaner look

I hope you like it
