EF7 CUP

THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, we're using a concept car for a one-make seres. Last winner @Spinerkopin set this theme, here are the details :

"Unfortunately, we almost never get the chance to race with the EF7, as on Sport mode or Online leagues...
What if we imagine a whole racing series with this car..."

CARS :

- Fittipaldi EF7 only.

LIVERIES :
- Original designs only.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
  • A racing oriented livery is prefered
  • A race number is mandatory
  • Race number must be placed WITHOUT a number plate/banner. Apply it like F1 or NASCAR cars do. Number font is free of choice.

BONUS PICTURE SETTINGS :
- Up to two Bonus Pictures allowed.

USER MADE DECALS :
- No restrictions.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

  • The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
  • You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
  • Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
  • Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

  • Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
  • The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
  • It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
  • Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

  • All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
  • You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
  • You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
  • You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

  • It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
  • Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
  • No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

MANDATORY PICTURES

  • You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
  • You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

If it's your first entry or if you struggle with the picture settings, have a look at the tutorials below :

@Spinerkopin

Hi, Quick question regarding the rules on number placement.

I found a number font I like, but it has a border attached, the decal itself is just the number and a lined border not a complete number board (any paintwork and lower decal layers will be fully visible between the number and border).

Would this be allowable or should I stick with purely the numbers themselves?

From what you are saying this seems fine to me.
I think my limit about number boards is something like this

FINAL ENTRY

COPACABANA FITTIPALDI EF7 VGT
This livery takes inspiration from the awesome sidewalk/pavement patterns of the beach promenades in Brazil...does require the title sponsor to be the Brazilian Tourist board however!

The theme is right up my alley, have lot's of ideas about paying tribute to Fittipaldi brothers' early racing years with hand built (often by themselves) sports cars around Brazilian roads and courses. But real life is happening :banghead: hard.
Perhaps a little extension period could be considered!?

Didn't the LEC normally run extended events over holidays in the past? I seem to remember a couple of times having it over a three week periods due to busy real life scheduling around this time.

Unfortunately, I can't commit and would only ask for an extension if I was actually working on something already. If I can relax and get away for sometime, maybe I could try something this weekend.

The Café do Brasil Fittipaldi EF7. Inspired by Emerson Fittipaldi's 1974 helmet, using the gloss carbon base to represent the black (works on the yellow base colour but looks much better on the carbon version), and bringing back a couple of the sponsors from his early racing career - Café do Brasil and Texaco. The original helmet had a solid two-tone design, but I decided to go for the colour fade over carbon to bring the retro design into the present and make an aesthetic with more drama and impact. The way the orange-red fades across the carbon and section of the car look like orangey-red carbon works a treat in my eyes, and I would hope Emerson himself would be proud to see his old helmet turned into a livery on his own car design!

Happy new year to all of us!
This is the beginning of the last Gran Turismo Sport Livery Editor Competition Series.
In March (or so) we will be excited to experience what GT7 has to offer and there will be a new series of GT Livery Editor Comps, hopefully.
I want to thank @Cytoria for hosting this thread during a period of almost four years. You're the man! Bon travail !

Today ought to be the
deadline for entering this comp. So hurry up if you have some material in your pipeline.
Seven entries so far is far away from enough.

For the first time in ages, I have a little bit of time. If allowed, I'll throw together a livery over the next 24 hours.
If it's too late, no problem

Edit: I have offered a submission, but I acknowledge that it is late and therefore it is unlikely to be eligible
