I made this list today because I've been thinking about this for months and thought I would share. Based on the tracks that we have in the game at this very moment, below is the list that I think would make it complete.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a wish list! Please do not post "we need" or "I want" in this thread!

Honestly when you think of it, why are most of the smaller courses and other configurations excluded? I mean, if they have a team there mapping out the large circuit, how long would it take them to do the smaller tracks that surround it? A few simple barriers would give us the rest. (Suzuka West Course for example)

Thanks for those, adding now. I kept reading about the Junior circuit but couldn't find any info on their site.

Oh and Daytona Road has a very slightly different layout too (the chicane can be shorter). If I remember correctly the version in the game is the one for the motorcycle events, while the actual 24h layout uses the short chicane.

Indy has a drag strip that you can drive on the road course.

Are there still two versions? I just put "2012" next to it assuming it was the shorter version only.

Proof? Never heard of that. I know people use it for one in the game, never heard that it had a real one...

I only know that the game uses the longer chicane, which was used in Prologue and back in Prologue days, we had a discussion about how PD didn't use the one from the Rolex 24h: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daytona_International_Speedway#Road_courses The Bike version also features another different hairpin and link to the speedway.

EDIT: I was wrong, the shorter chicane is on the motorcycle track. So with other words, you could just add the motorcycle variant.

It's not a drag strip, just a road used to access the infield. Hulman Blvd I believe it's called.

EDIT: Tree'd, no pun intended.

Added both. Should be right now.

The drag strip is at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Not Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Yeah I knew about that one. Thanks for the clarification, he had me confused.

Didn't know that it was just a road. Thought it was a drag strip. Doh! I'm so dumb...

Speaking of what tracks should have made it, is the banking on Fuji still around? They could make a variation with that given it is still there.

Monza has a full variation which connects the regular track to the oval.

It's mostly there.

Anyone have a list of all the Fuji variations that were in past games?

And another one: Nürburgring GP Moto.
Bikes race there too, but use the NGK chicane variant (longer, faster) from the 24h layout:

You mean Fuji "80's" and "90's"? Both are very different compared to the current layout and the banking can't be used anymore at all, unlike in Monza.

When they redid the track in 2005, they tore down most of the banking; and even built some stuff (including what I think is a go kart track) in it's place. Only about a quarter of the banking is still there:

I thought there was a Kart track too, but the small circuit to the right is the "Short Course" I have listed, and the small course behind the front stretch is the Drift Course. The slab of tarmac above that is the Gymkhana course.

The small track on the bottom is used for driving instruction.

Fuji Speedway 90′s
Fuji Speedway 80′s
Fuji Speedway 2005
Fuji Speedway 2005 GT were all in GT4,Sir.:)

The older versions shouldn't count for this thread though since they'd need completely new 3D models including the scenery.

They could also add the 24-hour version. ;)

So if the bikes use the same chicane as Grand-Am(I thought they did but wasn't sure), does anyone use the version in GT5?

Would the tracks with weather/time change that have variations that don't have them count (for example, the no chicane versions of Le Sarthe 2009 and Monza not having weather/time change)? Or are they covered by implication?

Because I always thought that was a really weird thing that they were excluded like that.

Why can't we race each in reverse? Seems like a simple fix to me.

In real life - safety. Runoffs pointing the wrong direction and all. I know this doesn't apply to the game, but I assume the tracks refuse to allow it. They probably don't want everyone coming out and saying that <insert track here> is much more fun in the reverse configuration.

I have always wondered why we don't get all of the short variations of circuits already in the game though (Suzuka west, Monza Jr etc). As mentioned, it would take no time to code, and they could easily add 5-10 tracks to the count when promoting the game.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza Full
Autodromo Nazionale Monza No Chicane
Autodromo Nazionale Monza Oval
Autodromo Nazionale Junior Circuit

What about the full course/oval combo?

And some tracks, like the Nurburgring, Laguna Seca and Spa, were designed in a way (elevation changes) that it is impossible to take them in reverse because you would basically take flight if you did.

For example, Eau Rouge would be... nasty in reverse.

Flugplatz in particular would probably be something akin to Cape Ring if you took it in reverse. Pflanzgarten would be pretty scary too, since it is normally just a drop but in reverse would be more like a ramp.

Yeah I guess so, it would be like a kicker jump and destroy the splitter.
What's wrong with Laguna though?
