Too bad I can never have enough time to play FFXI. I like being a WAR/MONK Mithra because simply it was sexy bashing things a big two handed axe. :sly: I am a final fantasy fan that is trying to play "catch-up" right now since I didn't own a Playstation 1 during the time. I started with FFVII when I got the PS2. A friend of mine lend me the game since I was bored. I played it and then got hooked on.

Now I am on a hunt to grab any FF before FFVII. I got FF 1 & 2 on my DS so far and need to get FFIII and IV some time later.

Don't forget to add me!!!

Can I join even though I don't own the game? I like Final Fantasy :)

OT: There was Final Fantasy for Xbox 360? I thought it was strictly PS2-only.

THere's Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle exclusively on GC. Also FFXI is on PC, PS2 & XBOX 360.

Several remake are on the Nintendo handheld & PlayStation.

i have FFX (beat it) play FF 2,3,4,7,X-2 (beat 2 and 3, 4=impossible, 7 was the greatest of FFs and almost beat it, X-2 was awsome too but could really fiure out eexactly how far i was in the game) now then, put me in the FF club pleez :D

How in the name of all that's holy did I not see this thread earlier?

Chalk me up, also. I currently own and have finished FFI, FFIII, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX and own FF Tactics.

I think one of the coolest part of all the FF games is in FFI when part way through the game (remember this was on NES) you characters "grow up". Actually, they pretty much just added a few pixels here and there to make them taller. I can't believe no one said this yet. Probably because not many people played it, I guess. The beauties of being "old".

In FFIII, there was a player that had an attack called "Sketch". You selected it just like a magic/attack command and then picked the enemy you wanted to "copy" and then who you wanted to attack. Hopefully that made sense. Anyway, I went into a cave with her in my party, ran into a random attack, and started pummeling the bad guys like normal. Then her turn came up and I sketched. All of my guys turned to giant red rectangles, which I gotta say freaked me out a bit, but they kept attacking, so I let it go. As soon as the fight was over, I hightailed it back out of the cave to save quick before anything else happened. After I saved, I went into my items and found out that I had 99 clubs. Only 1 character can use it and there is only 1 in the entire game. I figured I might as well sell a bunch off, so I kept 10. Each one earned me some crazy amount of Gil, so for the rest of the game I didnt have to worry about fighting for money. Just that bloody experience. Don't you just love glitches? :p

And dodging the lightning in X isn't that bad. Unless you wear contacts. Not blinking for hours on end kinda sucks.

Sorry for the mammoth post. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

So do you guys recommend me buying a X-2?

I would recommend X-2 now that it is Greatest Hit for 19.99. I felt like it wasn't worth paying 54.11 when it came out though. Game was a more girly like Final Fantasy than all the other FF.

Wow, Can't believe I never saw this. I've been down with Final Fantasy for a long time. My First FF was VII and I played all of them (besides XI). I've only completed VII-X. Although I want to go back and re-play X due to my freind impatience with me and using the gameshark to help me complete X. I have
X2, but I am rather disappointed with it, and will most likely not complete it until I am really really bored. I'm looking forward to XII, but I will most likely not purchase a PS3 to play XIII anytime soon ($600 is waaay too much for a gaming system IMO).

I cracked out Final Fantasy VII again last night, and played it from near the end of Disc 2 - forgot how much I loved this game!

Was up against the final boss on Disc 2 (Hojo or something) who eventually turns into a rather nasty baddy who keeps casting badness upon your guys - I had Cloud, Vincent and Cait Sith, with Cloud covering the attacks and hence sustaining most of the damage... this turned out to be rather unfortunate, since Cloud was also (by far) my strongest attacking option. Vincent was in charge of healing/regenerating - but he was stuck under a poison/sleep/darkness AND reflect spell for ages (until I worked out how to get rid of it), and so everytime he regenerated the good guys, he also regen'd the bad guy too :scared:

Cait Sith was in charge of emergency recovery, and rarely got to attack. He revived Cloud with Phoenix Down no less than 3 times, and battled to rid Vincent and Cloud of a variety of unusual states. Eventually, with Cloud revived on the previous turn, and Vincent free from the Reflect spell, I used Cait Sith to put up a Magic Barrier, Vincent to Regen the whole party, and then set Neo Bahamut and Odin on the bad guy's ass... :D Forgot just how scary Neo Bahamut is... :scared: ...or Bahamut Zero (2nd vid, 4:10)

Great fun, still one of my favourite games - I might even give Disc 3 a bash tonight, if I can avoid the pub again 👍

I got out of Midgar and to Berret's Home town and my ADD prevailed. Maybe I'll hit it up again tonight seeing I don't have anything to do. I'm going to try to not get past disc 1 soon though as I have to get that one resurfaced as well.

I never finished 12 when it first came out so a few months ago I started replaying it. I made it a few hours in and haven't touched it since. :guilty:

I guess you could call me a more recent Final Fantasy Fan, (nice alliteration :p)
