Welcome to our spot race to test the specs for Season 4!



The race is based off of the real life Rolex race, the brickyard Grand Prix, that happened at Indy this past year (which I attended!). I'm not going to add much fluffy stuff, so lets get into the details!

The race will be on Saturday, February 2nd. Time is TBD, but will be about 6 pm eastern time.

All cars will use racing medium tires. The only driving aid allowed is abs. Everything else will be turned off. The race will be 70 laps, plus 1 formation lap to let the classes get a small gap for the start.

We will be using cautions. Our caution procedure is quite simple. The two people involved in the crash have to type "caution". If only one person types it, keep racing! Once a caution comes out, we all slow down, and get bunched up. Lapped drivers will get one lap back at this time. Both classes will pit on the same lap.

Don't worry if that's a bit confusing, we'll talk ya through it in the room ;)

Interesting changes Polar, DP a spec car and adding an Aston while cutting a few GTs. 11pm on a Saturday is a hit or a miss for me as I could be working. But I'll update you if I am free.

Sounds good! Remember, these aren't sign ups for season 4, this race is separate.

But you're high enough in points that I think you'll get it ;)
 
Can we paint the DP cars whatever colour we want or are you deciding the colours so we go in teams?

Sweet, matte red with black wheels it is. If it looks good on the Audi it will more than likely look good on the Nissan ;)

Hopefully we get some color, a grid with gray and white doesn't look good!
 
If I am free for this I'll be trying the Nissan btw ;). So reserve in that for now.

C'mon, we should have more sign ups than this! It's a one off race, you don't have to be apart of the championship if you don't want to!
 
Btw Polar should you not put restrictions on the DPs to 611bhp since that's the nearest room setting, or 601bhp.
