I've been adding links to some of the cars in the GT4 NA Car List, adding pictures and specifications of the cars in them.

when you click on the GT1 link and go to the car list it doesnt let you see the full list
I think it's sorted now. 👍

Added GT1 Screenshots and more GT4 Screenshots and car specifications.

It feels weird to enter the term "wiki" into Wikipedia, almost contradicting.

Have you even tried to look at the link Jordan provided in the first post?

BTW, I'd like to suggest to everyone that you put the Category at the bottom of each page – it makes navigation much more convenient. I've put Category tags at the bottom of each GT4 article, but not within any other categories yet.

Some of you may remember my mention of a GTPlanet Wiki in this suggestion thread by Shannon. Well, I've finally had time to install and configure a Wiki for the site, and you can find it at gtplanet.net/wiki.

Unfortunately, the MediaWiki software is incredibly difficult to use and horrendously documented. I've never had such trouble organizing content in all my life! At this point, I'm not completely sure if something like this will be good for the community, but I figure its worth a shot. So far, you'll find a plan of how I'd like for the Wiki to fit in with the rest of the site, along with a very basic organizational structure. You guys can take it from there and turn the Wiki into what you feel is the best. It's all about the community, and the more you put into such a project, the more you'll get out of it.

So, check it out and start editing content - but beware! The software has an extremely steep learning curve, and you will need to register a separate account before you can add or edit content. Let me know if you have any questions or comments - let's keep everything in this thread, if possible. :)

Wicked idea Jordan :)

I  to you o' GTP owner :)

Hey Jordan,

Bloody good show old chap. It looks terrific. BTW, would anyone mind telling me what font the gt planet wiki text is written in at the top of the screen?

Thanks :)

Isn't it a character out of Star Wars?
A "Wookie" is a character out of Star Wars. :)

I've been carrying on with adding GT4 pictures to the NA Car List.

nice idea... the wiki is looking like a "super stickie thread".
so... who's going to make a 200point aspec table? :)

Wow, there have been a lot of great changes and additions to the Wiki. Keep 'em coming, guys! It won't be long now before the Wiki is made part of the main site! :)

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but because anyone can edit the content of the project, haven't you got the risk of anyone going in and deleting stuff and causing mayhem?

Hmmm.....

Is this something to do with GTP7? Sounds interesting.

Fortunately, that's not an issue. Every single modification made to each and every page is saved and documented, and a copy of every "page" that ever existed is always archived. Should a vandal edit the page or delete all of the information, anyone else who can edit the page can quickly and easily restore a "previous version". That's the only way something like this could ever be successful. :) To see it for yourself, click on the "History" link on any page with content.

Yes! The Wiki will be moved to the main site and will house all of GTP's info about each GT game. It will also still be open to editing. I want to create a huge "encyclopedia" of the GT series, where everyone contributes information. It's basically an opportunity for everyone who wrote up any type of list or "guide" in the forum to publish their information in a permanent, organized, and central location. (Don't forget that anyone can create all the new pages in the wiki that they like - there are no limits!) :)
