The Hate for the X1's

i hate that thing
IMO, it's not only useless but it took PD some time to make it when they had other
more important things to do
 
I like them. It's just tricky to master, like most fast cars in the game including the Lotus 97T. Especially if its on a new track or if you've not driven it for a while. That's why personally I wouldn't use on online and why I imagine a lot of people cause havoc in them.
 
That's no an valid argument to say that you hate it because it doesn't exist.

Ok, so you would hate all the GT Touring Cars, most of the LM Race Cars, all of the Concept cars which are only 1/1 sclae models, all Vision GT cars, all the Stealth cars, the FGT, all the Base models, and so on!

Ps.: I love driving it, when other skilled drivers are around.
Sometimes, i get into lobbies and others race the X1, sometimes, the "real" good X1 drivers only overtake, when it's possible, and without risk, so they stay behind until they can overtake without hitting.

And using a wheel is easier to drive the X1.

I love it.
We do make Time Attack racing in this one, in our series, we have a seperate class, only for the X2014.

The only time to actually driving it is the X1 standard championship for money but NEVER ANY OTHER TIME. Remind me to sell my X1s when I get home today 💡

Well, it was to all of you, i don't want to change your mind, it's your opinion.
But for me, that argument was just...:odd:

The GT by Citroën does not exist as electric version, but as a car powered either by a V8 (as in the game) or a hydrogen-oxygen powered car, i don't know how it's called in english, in german it's called "Wasserstoff-Brennstoff-Zelle"

EDIT: It's called Hydrogen-Oxygen-fuelcell.
It's got 4 of those.
 
I had an online race around Sierra with the X2014 in a 6 player lobby all set to race only RB cars. It's challenging when most of us in the lobby can't handle it and constantly wipeout, but it's a fun racing car on its own right. The main source of the hate is the incompetent driver behind it in an online free-for-all free run.

The driver behind one needs to follow etiquette, but until then, their rep is bad unfortunately.
 
Let's rephrase the situation.

If you had the X1 on a race track, right in front of you, in real life, and you were given the keys... would you drive it?

If anyone says no and can really mean it... turn off your PS3 and commit yourself to the local psychiatric ward/asylum.

I cannot think of any realistic reason to not want to drive it, if it was free, real, and sitting right in front of you.

Considering that it would literally kill me, I'm better off in the Asylum.
 
It's a fun "what if" car, but it causes me more grief than happiness for a few reasons:

-I always see it when I go online, it never fails someone wants to 'show off' and buzz around the track in the thing, ramming people from behind. Yes it's a fast car and you can demolish me in my '78 Firebird congrats.. :mad: :lol:

-I don't have a wheel setup so driving the car is a massive exercise in frustration using a Dualshock controller. The speed of the car doesn't go well with the limited controller stick movement. You have to treat this beast like you're holding a priceless piece of fragile pottery with a buzzing chain saw hanging around your neck while balancing on one foot on top of a flag pole on top of the Eiffel tower. I spend so much time concentrating on this balancing act & not spinning off into the barriers I don't find myself having a whole lot of fun. If I had a wheel I'm sure I'd enjoy driving the car much more.

-You can't use it for much of anything in the single player game. It's really only available in the red bull races and time trials/arcade. I'm sorry to admit this but I'd definitely like the car much more if I could use it in my daily credit grind to blow through some races! :mischievous:

I find much more fun using the Red Bull jr cars though. They're 'not real' but those cars are a ton of fun & I'm really glad PD put them in the game.

The addition of the X2014 Jr/Standard was a good move I think... You can do great races with the Jr if you have the right people in the lobby.

this thread was originally made to ask why people still hate the X1 since there are rarely any trolls anymore. I wasn't asking if people hated it or not.

You very well could, but everyone has very different opinions on the X1, so I think you would need a lot of poll choices such as 'Yes I love it' or 'it's ok I guess' or 'Nope, sold it immediately' etc
 
Because it is a stupid, fictious car that is merely another redbull scheme attempt. They sound ridiculous, look ridiculous, drive ridiculous, ridiculous amounts of downforce, etc. It also looks like a jet boat with enclose wheels. And Adrian newey may have "designed" it...but that is nothing more than a drawing of his brought to life by poliphony. At the time of him doing that for GT, it was also the pinnacle of the aero wars for the V8 era of f1. Like I said, it is a sleek drawing. It is an formula car with a little extra bodywork and a canopy.

They're flat out stupid and very few rooms online run at full power anyways. They're usually running roughly in the same area as the lotus and FGT, but it has far, far more downforce and is way easier to drive. It is like an FGT that has SRF fixed on with more torque.

I don't knock people who race them, I just think the car is silly and too easy to drive. You can go to places like trial mountain and skip kerbs that should shatter that suspension. The high pitch junk note is the final nail in the coffin for me as far as that car goes.

Also, X1 is obviously a spin off of "F1". I find that silly as well. Nothing about the X1 resembles an F1 car. It's not even an open wheel car in reality. It is formula libre to the max.

Do you like the VGT cars? Concepts that are in the game (not all, some). They don't exist any more than the X1. That's not really a good reason to hate a vehicle.

The VGT's and other concept cars in the game that don't really exist at least behave/handle/respond like normal cars would. The X cars do not behave/handle/respond like a normal car would, instead are more like a slot car where physics don't apply and to me that's not the least bit appealing and why I have no desire to drive one. Others may not share that opinion, and I'm not saying they should. But I don't own any of them, nor will I ever.
