I paid attention to you calling out someone who hasn't posted in this section much less this thread in months...
He responded and y'all do what you do best and gang up on him.
I think the take away here is this. Some lefty writes an op-ed about the virtues of exposing young children to adult sexual matter, the conservatives call the lefty out,

And then the lefties here (@TexRex @McLaren) say the conservatives pounced. Cause that's what we do. No condemnation of exposing kids to adult stuff at all. None.

What's deserving of condemnation, Helen? If public exhibition of something is permissible by law, and it likely is, why do you have an issue with others not shielding their children from it?

So nothing to you is too adult for kids as long as it is legal. Should we dump the film rating system?

What I did was solicit a response from him
That's called calling someone out.
This is a peculiar grievance.
Not really, rather common here.

I won't speak for him but dealing with one person here and the walls of text are enough, then to become the person being trolled...

You again...

Hey, come on. He just doesn't want it...[cough]...shoved down his throat.

Plus 3 other people gets old and annoying.

This is a strawman. You've taken the thing I said and twisted it into something I didn't say so that you might gain an advantage in an argument. This is deceitful. You also dodged the question.
Should we dump the film rating system?
I gather this is a continuation of the aforementioned strawman. Having said that, I think it's probative. I think meaningful discussion on the subject may be had in another thread, since this one isn't likely to be appropriate, but perhaps you could first answer the questions of mine that you've dodged--they're not limited to that which you opted to strawman.
That's called calling someone out.
The notion that I "called him out" has decidedly negative connotations. Care to explain?

As I said, he showed contempt for the thing and I was curious if his position on the thing was the same or if it had changed with recent developments.

Maybe go into the other thread--because it didn't happen here--and read the solicitation again. You can also read his post that I provided for context. If you click the speech bubble next to his name in the quoted post, you can see his remarks as they originally occurred.

[Edit: I'm tired and i don't know if I mentioned this, but he didn't actually respond to my solicitation.]

Not really, rather common here.
This isn't a logical response to the part of my post that you quoted. I get the sense that you didn't understand one or more of the words in my post that you quoted. Maybe respond to the questions I asked instead, because it's the absence of the response that I solicited that makes your grievance peculiar.

Explained in the post you quoted.
I am an atheist so... That means demons too.
It's pretty clear why "demonic" is being used to describe this event.
My concern is for the children. If you guys are so ok with kids being exposed to such things, maybe call your local library and see if they can put up a St. Andrews cross, and set up a single tail demo in time for the next drag queen story hour.
I would honestly find that very entertaining, but at the same time, I and/or my hypothetical child would not be required to attend said story hour, just the same as I and/or my hypothetical child would not be required to attend a kink-friendly Pride parade. I'm not responsible for what other people's kids are exposed to, that onus primarily falls upon the guardian. As long as it's all on the up-and-up, I don't see an issue.

Also, drag queens reading kids stories to small children sounds awesome, and would be a great way to normalize drag queens when said kids grow up. If nothing else, they'll have one hell of a story in High school/college.

Careful not to pile on, @NotThePrez, but then I gather the issue isn't so much the number of respondents as it is the absence of an echo chamber.

How echo chaberie. Carry on my gay echoers.

Edit:
Serious question, do you think it's ok to do sexual themed things in front of children?

You talk a big game of playing victim whilst trying to invite the other nutjob from your echo chamber elsewhere about how you "swat" down everyone here on your own.
Ray, why don't you want to come argue in a larger forum? I am tired of hearing crickets here.

This is just one thread at gtplanet. The American thread. I am having a tough time swatting down the libs here. They swarm.

There are a couple of intelligent conservatives, but we need more.

Here is my latest post, a reply to Sessions lies in his confirmation hearing.

On the previous page I posted this meme in response to Pence's AOL account and the Russian thing.

It got some like, but pissed off a lot of libs.

It is good fun over there.

Why not come? it is free.

And to think I liked you. Posting PMs now?

This isn't a PM. This is on the open web. You have the same ability to find & see Chrunch's forum if you dig. This is from his friend's message board that is linked on his own.

I have more important things to do than drag dirt up on people from other sites and use it as fuel here. If I recall correctly, you telling me not to share my public FB page here to defend myself yet you go somewhere else to prove your point of another user...

You calling me gay doesn't really surprise me, but it doesn't bother me either. In the even that such a thing might offend me, I'd take you being the source into consideration.

This is overly broad. What are these supposed "sexual themed things" and in what context are they being done in front of children?

If public exhibition of a thing is permissible according to statute, as it is likely to be at a Pride event in a particular jurisdiction to which such statute applies, who am I to say others should shield their children from it?

Try rational arguments rather than emotional ones, because the emotional ones aren't working.

Nobody has given personal information on the platform of which @McLaren speaks. Yes, I've seen it as well. It's public.

Also, don't think you moving those goalposts has gone unnoticed.

And what was your goal calling out Chrunch? Again he hasn't posted in months. Is your ego lonely?

And I didn't move any goalposts. I didn't start this. I'm just calling y'all out as being assholes.

You knew the answer...

He expressed opposition to a social media platform exercising its constitutionally protected right to moderate user generated content. This is a popular topic among conservatives. A new social media platform founded by conservatives acknowledges its constitutionally protected right to moderate user generated content, and I wanted to know if he maintains his opposition.

This has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. You're also dodging questions and moving goalposts. You're doing this because you have no rational position. You can't engage in good faith because your ego can't withstand the idea your position has no rational basis, so you engage in bad faith, resorting to deceitful tactics and personal attacks.

Edit in light of observed edit:

And I didn't move any goalposts.
It's apparent that you don't know what this means. You actually did. You accused a user of posting private conversations publicly, and when that failed because they hadn't done that, you accused the user of digging up dirt. From a public forum. That the other user links to.

The other user tried to get help arguing here by soliciting a user on another platform. That's ****ing hilarious. It's also ****ing pathetic.

I didn't start this.
I know. You inserted yourself into it. And you've been engaging in bad faith.
I'm just calling y'all out as being assholes.
Personal attack.
You knew the answer..
I did? How did I? I don't know it even now.

Do you know it? Could you enlighten me?

Guuurl, do I have some tea to spill for you.

At the risk of being accused of piling on because expressing a consenting opinion is apparently piling on these days, drag queen Danny La Rue actually received an Order of the British Empire award from the Queen of England for starring in children's pantomime fairytale plays from the sixties onwards. Nobody got their sequinned panties in a bunch over this far as I can recall.

I think the problem with some people on the right is that they think those who disagree with them all hold one monolithic opinion despite @NotThePrez's post demonstrating the exact opposite: that not everyone agrees with the extreme view expressed in the WaPo op-ed but that whether to expose kids to kink in pride marches is a matter of individual parental choice, not a case for blanket-banning.

I'm just calling y'all out as being assholes.
You don't have to be gay to support equality for other people. Also @ryzno, if you think this is a pile on, wait until people discover your post in the Covid thread saying that you think 605,000 deaths in the US so far are a "big nothing burger".

Quite right. I also don't need it "shoved down my throat" either.

Call me heartless, if you really knew me you MIGHT know why.

Now that's just wonderful.

Edit:

Depends on the context. If it's a public, legally-sanctioned event that people and/or children have free will in whether or not they want to attend, and said "sexual-themed things" are happening between consenting adults, then I don't see an issue.

I don't understand some of the reasoning in this thread. Nobody is doing anything (at least not that I'm aware of) that is not otherwise legal to do in public. As far as I know, there is no "during the parade, you can get away with things you otherwise couldn't" statute (again, let me know if I'm off-base on this). So are folks advocating that we have stricter rules than we otherwise would for the public during these "parades"? That's a hefty claim if that's what we're talking about.

I told you not to share your FB because you might be sharing your personal information to a giant audience here (where you live, what you do). Nothing I shared revealed Chrunch's personal information. I didn't even have to dig it up; it was literally a click away in his signature for his racing series forum where he also had a political thread.

You're grasping at straws for a member who only engages here for "good fun" b/c his other forum was too quiet, & downplays his views here as a moderate conservative whilst he participates in heavy right-wing discussion.
"Democrats are becoming the Party of late term abortion, high taxes, Open Borders and Crime!" ~ Donald J. Trump

The Dems have completely looned out. The youngins (and probably most of the base) have have gone full blown socialist. I guess we can thank the Soviets for infiltrating our educational system.
The Mexicans will be paying for far more than just the wall with the new trade deal.

Not to mention how much will be saved without all the illegals.
The Hunt

So this looked like it might be a pretty good movie.

Globalist elitists hunting deplorables.

For some unknown reason, the conservative media came after this movie.

You know the deplorables are going to kick the elite's asses in the end.

Could have been the feel good film of the summer!

Chrunch doesn't post this stuff here because he knows he'd get called out for the lunacy of it. But, he's more than happy to engage in it when he outnumbers the only person that posts against him. Real shoe on the other foot scenario here.

I don't mind @McLaren digging across the web for crap I have posted over the years. I find it kind of flattering actually. I would never waste my time digging for crap on other members here. I just don't care enough. So thanks McL. Oh and that guy Ray, wouldn't join here.
I'd wager moral panic had something to do with it. Note the use of kink paraphernalia:

Vile, vile stuff.
The Hunt is finely coming to HBO Max on July 8th!!!!

I can't wait.

Okay.

I presume that would be the same HBO Max that "erased history" by removing Gone With The Wind from its viewable library, only to again make it available after you conservatives cried over it.
