#1 Nuovo Rome ('New' Rome)
[Since GT5]
^ Why oh WHY (as my user detail states)!!!??? Is it just because of a certain landmark? Is it the way the track looks overall? Is it the elevation changes? Is it the unique road surfaces? Unfortunately only PD knows the reason. GTP wants the old
Rome Circuit '90s back! This track is a poor excuse of a replacement to the '90s track!!!
No thanks, I like the newer Rome, fast and flowing works for me.
I don't hate any of the tracks in GT5, I'm pretty happy driving them all. I dig Ovals, twisty tracks, short tracks, city tracks, "unrealistic" tracks, rally circuits....
I seem to be alone loving the different challenge of each circuit and the fun of chucking cars around them. It is a joy to chuck a Lotus Elise on comfort tyres around Tsukuba and Top Gear Test track to me, so so much fun and so much detail in the physics and feel in this game!
Neatly placing a car into the cambered apex of the penultimate hairpin of Tsukuba is for some reason so so satisfying. The little bumps on the exit and the feel of the car as you plant the power is gaming ecstacey for me.
I used to have a slight dislike of Fuji but when I played a lot of online racing in GT5Prologue it eventually found a place in my heart. The constant challenge of finding speed and laptime in the final sector is yet another joy to be had in this game.
I still don't understand the seeming majority hating on Cape Ring. From the first time I touched this game I loved it and all of its configurations. Again lots of fast sweepers is an easy ticket for me to enjoy a track. Some tricky braking and turn in points but generally a joy to drive, very easy to find a rhythm. An absolute blast to race on.
