What is your ideal car? Something with power? Something with style, perhaps? Something you can drive all year if you wanted to? Something agile? Something innocent? Something cute? How about mean and barbaric? What is your style of car?

My style of car would be something that is either elegant or good looking, but with enough power and handling prowess to be a performer. When I first got into cars, I thought the Camaros of 1994 and up were very stylish and really fit the bill. If I had the skills, I could have had one after I got my license. But I can save that for another time. I think I seen a Datsun 240Z at a used car lot. Had I the license, I would love to go down Houston with it. But then, I've had an interest in a CRX or even a newer Civic. Of course, the Mini of today is also fun. I described my ideal car. I just don't know which one.

Even if your ideal car is a truck, reply now.

Anything Mazda except a Navajo, Tribute, or MPV, and a few cars inbetween.
I've always seen myself as a 3 series(323/MX-3/Protege) man, but I'm really thinking of going bigger with a 1st gen 929S or even a Millenia S, but I'd settle for an older B-series truck if I had to.

I really invision myself in a Trueno, my Nova's Japeniese counterpart. Just a reardrive econobox, so, when I get $25,000 I want to reconfigure my Nova to rear wheel drive.

A truck or SUV since I have a lot of stuff I need to haul and I tow a lot of things to. Like my dirt bikes.

Probably a Nissan Skyline R34. Such powerful potential with 4WD is just so awesome. I would learn right-hand drive and left-hand shifting in a second if I had the money.

A big and safe station wagon. :O The 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Wagon wins my prize. I'd like one in blue. Too bad I can't drive yet. :(

I would also like the flashy 2003 Honda S2000 in any color it's available.

A group 1 insurance, 1.1 petrol taht does 50-60 mpg and can seat 4. Thats right, I'm british, skint and fuel prices are soaring.

Something American built before 1990 with RWD and a V8 engine (exceptions will be made for a particular turbo V6 I can think of :) ). Primer gray w/ a solid, torquey engine would be cool.

I've always wanted something very different, noticeable and a nice performer, great handling, and something fast but won't kill me lol, and be able to seat atlest 3of my buddies, this all describes a car i've always wanted since I first saw it, the mazda RX-8.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!! :O :O

HIYA! :D :O

Mine would be... McLaren F1!!!!!! :O:O:O ooOOOOOoooOOo I think its my ideal car because of how smooth and quiet it is with all that power!!! Its like one of those Eye CANDIES when you see someone drive it and I only saw it ONCE! just ONCE and I wanted to cry in joy...It happened when I went to go visit Paris and I saw the McLaren just past me and my arms moved in the directio it past me as if I wanted to hug it... Anyways its kewl to have one for how unique it is for a Supercar.!! :D :O  :O  :D

Either a Nissan Skyline R32 or a Mitsubishi Evolution IV - VIII (I don't like the earlier models looks). Both can seat 4 people, and have excellent performance. If I could ever own one (or both :p ) of those cars...

Well, right now I have a longing for a Dodge SRT-4, because it's very quick car for the money (not necessarily affordable to a lowly high school student, but affordable in general). And I'd like it in that nice yellow color that has a tint of orange, which the advertisements note is really rare. For some reason, it looks much better than the normal yellow color.

I do wish the spoiler weren't so damn big though.

Sage, I tend to agree with you about the rear wing. If you still want to look sporty, maybe a smaller wing or even a touring car-style rear wing would work as well.

Any more ideal cars? Or do you own that ideal car, perchance?

2000 Audi A8 4.2 and 2001 BMW 740i, I really like those.

How could you not think a Mercedes CLK55 is ideal, though?

A lot of you people have some very impractical cars as 'ideal' - you must have some odd lifestyles.

Anything Mazda except a Navajo, Tribute, or MPV, and a few cars inbetween.

Have you driven a Tribute V6? They're quick. And good values. They're nice cars, basically.

Something with 600+rwhp. Preferably coming from a single turbo inline 6.;) Soon enough...

My cars just have to have a ton of power. My '03 Cobra was fun, but it just didn't do it for me in the power department. 465hp/490tq just wasn't enough.

How could you not think a Mercedes CLK55 is ideal, though?

It is ideal - if you have a vagina.

Oh, and all of my cars are practical.:p

I need four doors (to cart around mothers-out-law and other interstate visitors), a decent boot, cruise control and reasonable fuel economy.

On top of that, I'd like reasonable performance, good handling, good insurance rates and good resale value.

For a car,I would like:
The new GTO
M3
Crossfire
300C

For a truck:
H1 Hummer
BMW
F150

Only Cooper? As long as it was designed by Issigonis, it'll do me!

But seriously, I reckon a Mini would be cool. Low fuel enconomy, 4 seats, awesome handling and a great power-up potenial.

:)

Ofcourse I have, I work at a Mazda dealership...
We had a hail storm last week and on Friday they had AAA come up and we drove the cars through the service bay, they checked em, and we parked them. I drove dozens, '04 and '05(I like the '05 a lot better because the shift lever is like every other Mazda(except B-series and MPV) and it's a heck of a lot easyier to shift correctly and not overshift into 2nd or what not), while they are nice and quick, I donno if I could see myself driving one. I drive too fast around corners and Tributes can't quite do that. :)

Shift lever? You drove a four-cylinder?

I drove a Tribute V6 eighty miles on Thursday - for the class, it's a very decent vehicle, and yes - it can do quick corners.

No! I meant the shift lever location. On '04 models it's located on the steering colum, on the '05 it's the shift gate thing in the center console. I admittedly suck at driving sticks. Ofcourse in a parking lot you don't have to leave 1st gear, but even then my starts are usually hard. Thanks go out to my bro and dad for not letting me practice on thier 5 stick cars.

Exactly what I have, exactly.
Something classy, something that distinguishes me from people with sports cars, luxury cars, or any other cars that are given as status symbols or bragging rights. A car with character, that no one else has. An organic design inside and out, with a reason for everything it does - no nosensical wings, flare, buttons, knobs, whistles, no loud noises, no purely aesthetic body panels, nothing that takes away from it being a car. A car that turns heads without me or it trying.

Comfortable, but not plush. Plush cars make me sleepy. Quick, but not fast. I enjoy taking corners too fast much more than taking straighaways too fast - anything that can do the second, I'd get myself in serious trouble with. Not to mention the insurance would shoot off the charts. Fuel-efficient would be nice, manual transmission, front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, tasteful noises from the mechanicals to let me know they're working. In short, The Ultimate Driving Machine.

God I love that car.

You've got the right idea.:D

my kinda car would have luxury, style, performance, and can kick the crap out of those rice-boy civics, a lovely 2004 BMW M3.
