First off, sorry if this has already been asked, but I done a search and looked through all 72 results and found nothing.

But, what is The Infield (In the Rumble Strip) When I click on it, it says "Permission Denied"

Why am I not allowed? Maybe because I don't have many posts???
 
The Infield is for Premium members only (and staff, but we may or may not have our own place of business). To become Premium, you'll have to purchase membership.

If anyones need it for them two things you really need a life...lol!

wild parties - lost count of the amount i've been at....all depends on you take on the word 'wild'.

naked babes - you have hundreds or not more websites, magazine etc for that

Of course I have no idea what kind of topics are of conversion in the infield, but if it does have 18+ threads within it that you need to be a Premium member to see on GTP, well my thoughts are thats just sad, if your going to have an 18+ topic of any kind whats the difference? I've seen other forum that operate the same that you have to be a 'special member' or something to view 18+ stuff and private threads etc. But judging my the forum rules I bet there's none of that kinda stuff anyway lol

I don't think any forum should have any private sections apart from one for mods/admins/site owner etc to discuss forum related stuff.
 
The Infield isn't dedicated to that, is just a private area for the Premium users which contains slightly different discussions. As there is fewer Premiumites than regular members, it feels like if the forum is smaller in there. I recommend. 👍

Looking at the perks, honestly, none of them really excite me...but I'm sure they are appealing to other members here, each to their own and so on..

i'll brake it down:

Ad-Free Browsing - no doubt its a nice thing, ads = annoying, but loads of other forums i'v been on have them and they don't bother me that much anyway

Red, Bold Username (and you can change it, too!) - honestly I wouldn't care if my username was bright pink. Having Red, Bold Username is to stand-out and just screams attention seeker or something like that

Keep 2,000 Private Messages - PM function is something I barely use on any forum. so i definitely don't need space to keep 2000 messages

View 100 Posts-Per-Page - same thoughts as Ad-free browsing, nice tool, but the current post per page does me fine.

Bigger Avatars - an extra 20x20 pixels...yeah that's massive!

Private Forum Access - Curiosity would come in here, but again there shouldn't be anything on a forum that needs to be hidden from members apart from a admin/mod VIP section like I mentioned in my previous post.

500MB of web space for gallery for your own photos - I have my facebook, flickr etc for that
20MB of space for attachments - never use this function

Honestly the reason I joined GTP was for the GT5 photomode comps etc. but lately I haven't even been doing them, my time spent on GT5 per week is on a low, 2/3 hours at most.

Me jelly? yes I like eating jelly with some ice cream..but that's about as far as it goes.

This, the perks are just that, perks. The reason I, along with many people, bought premium is to support Jordan and all the work he has put in to making this one of the best forum sites on the net (in my 'old git' opinion :) )
 
The Infield is just a nicer place to be at the minute, IMO. You can avoid a lot of immaturity that is slowly spreading outwards from the GT5 section like a killer disease, and we discuss things in there in a light hearted manner that often gets ruined or misunderstood outside of The Infield.

That and it supports the site and the hard work Jordan puts into running it 👍

Ah yes, that's the gimmick. Very, very few morons. I bought GTPremium, then I became a contributing member of society. Handy.

Tell me about it. I get yelled at by people who think I think I'm a Moderator when in reality I'm just sick of the plain idiocy in there. :dunce:

I tried getting Premium once. Paypal screwed me over and then bad stuff happened a few days later. Oh well.
