Slippery
It is expensive, but in the end I'd probably give in and get it. Do they still sell them?

Also do you have the shifter just hanging like that? Doesn't it slip when you actually shift?

haha... no, its all just sitting on my shelf next to the pc like that.
the shifter clamps securely between the wheel and the desk. so its rock solid and doesn't move at all.
alot of other people modded up cockpits and stuff to put the shifter in a more "natural" position. Living in cramped apartments etc... i've never really been ambitious enough to do such a project.

and to answer your other question. saddly... early this year it was discontinued. :( poor girl.
act-labs had a falling out with the manufacturing company they were using... long story short; they can't afford to "start over" and had to discontinue it.

Sweet, you have the discontinued RS wheel. How is it?

best wheel i've ever put my hands on that wasn't attached to a car.
so far on the ps2 i hear it only works in EA games, since AL couldn't afford sony's licensing for "official" support.

it gets power for sure when i plug it into the ps2, but i have yet to figure out how to configure gt4 to use it.

its amazing in GTR (and almost any other pc game) though.
native support for the shifter + clutch is a dream.
colin mcrae games are a ton of fun too although the force feedback is so strong it feels like it will break your wrists if you're not ready for it. ;)

unfortuantely the PC race-sim world isn't what it used to be... race sims don't make as much money as shooters, so very few get made anymore.

Cool.

With a cluth, H-Gate Shifter and a wheel, it takes GTR to its finest. I have a Momo Racing Wheel, and I might invest into a clutch and H-Shifter. Personally, I like the Momo. Just hope the Shifter and the Clutch work with it.

dude, wtf. they need to extend some legs out of the base a lot further. when he crashed in the rally vid it looked like the thing was gonna fall over. the base actually moved.....that's NOT good.

ummmm....yea....16,500 for a pedal set with a clutch? ill buy the 20k simulator for an extra 5,500.......but yea i tried that with the shifter and....ehhh wasnt diggin it...i do like nurnburgrings setup though

Dude that's in Japanese Yen. That's only like $450 in U.S. The e-brake lever is y12,000 and that came back as 300 US dollars. However shipping usually comes to around 100 US dollars since it's comming from Japan.

Yes, it works with the MOMO Force. Read the discriptions for the individual parts and it tells you the minimum requirements and what it's compatable with. Pretty much any FORCE FEEDBACK Logitech or Microsoft wheel.

That thing looks very nice and must be very exciting to have. I'd rather by a real nice car than something like that doh. You'd prolly get more fun outta that doh.!
