It's not that far off base. Hell the whole thing about him wanting to drive for Ferrari made him seem a bit desperate. Imagine if he tried to pass Raikkonen and took him out of the race...
Wouldn't it make more sense to impress your future employers by beating them on the track?
And a driver that avoids winning is no racing driver. Fisi couldn't get past because Kimi was on the KERS button in the sections where Fisi had the advantage. It was also very clear at Giancarlo's disappointment after the race to not have won....
If anything, he would have been careful overtaking so that Force India would score points, not that he thought letting Ferrari win would get him a drive.
We came back from the ad break and they started talking about the next round of the MotoGP for whatever reason (probably because they're idiots), and when we finally hooked back into the BBC, all we got was the last five seconds of Louise Goodman talking to Jenson Button.
Just a quick note there, Louise Goodman works for ITV and not BBC
Who you're hearing nowadays is Lee McKenzie.
I'm very surprised that other countries' commentary isn't as good but then I suppose overhere the popularity has always been greater because we've always had competitive drivers in the sport. Although, I would be interested to know what people think of the German, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian commentaries?
