the JGTC-Gran Turismo connection

Turns out there is a racing league in Japan which appears to be the inspiration for Gran Turismo. It's the All Japan Grand Touring Championship or JGTC. A bunch of the cars from Gran Turismo 3 run in the JGTC and vice-versa.

Yeah I saw 'On the Limit' last night too. They were calling the races Japan GT intead of JGTC.

There were a couple of cars racing I had never heard of. The Vemac and the Mosler:

Maybe the Mosler and the Vemac will be in GT4.

I followed this series on Eurosport last year. It's quite a spectacular event. Close finishes almost every time.
