It's called Easy Mac, evilgenious. I graduated to that stuff from Kraft Macaroni and Cheese when I became "a big kid". One day my mom made me abut a half-box of Kraft Dinner, as you "other people" call it, and I was like "I don't like this stuff."
"Wha, you just ate some yesterday!"
"Well I don't like it anymore."
"You want some Spaghetti Os?"
"I don't like those either."
 We've all been throught that. She got me some Easy Mac, but that got old, too, so now I eat the Bob Evans macaroni and cheese. It comes in a little microwave plastic bowl, the noodles are relatively big, it's really cheesy and thick, depending on how much water you add. It has a wierd color, though, it's a really pale yellow, almost white. But it's goodness in a package.

Speaking of Spaghetti Os...I'm eating some right now!

...disgusting. Anything in a can is doom.

Solid Lifters knows where it's at. 👍 My mom make the best hommade shells and cheese. I must be a backwards case, because I went from a brief period of making stovetop spirals on my own, to Farfalle pasta and aglio olio, and then eventually to making Fettucine Alfredo from scratch. And then, when I got braces, I discovered Progresso steak & russet potato soup. I'm apparently regressing in my state of culinary evolution. :odd: But, my braces are off, and I'm making up for lost ground.

Anyway, Krapt Mac n' Cheese is somewhat addicting, yet quite disgusting. it must be all of the sodium.

(I had terrible flashbacks when the Kraft bowel movements were mentioned. )

Omnis

What about the Tetra Paks?

This is great stuff, even though I usually buy premium chili, I still love Stagg's Country Brand chili. And, it escapes Omnis, since it comes in a Tetra Pak and not a can.

I like making the Country Brand Stagg Chili with Frito's Corn chips and some slices of American Cheese. Velveeta would work great, too. A dash of hot sauce, and cook in the microwave until it's good and hot, and well mixed.

Even though I have family meals, it's still good to eat like a bachelor every once in a while. 👍 (We should change the title of this thread to Bachelor Cookery.)

I eat mine with ketchup. Some people think it's gross, but I know for a fact that I'm not the only one.

I do the same thing!

Where did you find that picture of the box like that. I have never seen it called "Dinner" just mac and cheese!

Ah yes, now I remember. I remembered it was made by Kraft, so I naturally assumed that it was Mac-n-Cheese. :dunce:

Around 5 years ago, i ran a pub with an American fellow called Jeremiah. I had a holiday to New York and Chicago for 3 weeks, and he gave me a request....

Buy and pack as much Kraft macaroni and cheese as i can carry, and bring it back for him.

I guess he was missing home!

I still haven't tried it though.

So how much did you buy, and how much of that would fit in the suitcase?

I have always known it only as Kraft Dinner...I just Googled that name and came up with the picture.

I like to eat the first half of my KD alone, with just the cheese sauce, but as the cheese sauce begins to diminish, I splatter ketchup all over it and finish off the box. MMMMMM.

Living in a poor family, I practically grew up on mac and cheese. Your right a hot dog thrown in with it was like a treat. "Yes we get meat tonight with it!!"
I hardly eat mac and cheese any more but I still make some once in a while. I really like the spiral kind and the shells. Its never that good warmed up the next day as a left over, but a little ketcup brings it right back to life. I only put ketcup on the left over mac and cheese. If you really want it cheesy add a little slice of Velveeta cheese into it. :sly:
Warning: If you buy the cheap 25 cent crap thats exactly what you get. Disqusting and tastes like rubber.

This thread inspired me to have some last night. 2 Hot Dogs, and 3/4 of a box of mac and cheese just for me. Glass of Milk to chase it down. Yum.

Mac and Cheese is the BEST! My family is always alarmed that I can polish off an entire box all by myself. It's really good when you add a few handfuls of shredded cheddar and jack cheese as you are mixing in the powder.

Velveeta is a must for holidays at my house. Melt the cheese with some salsa, and get a few tortilla chips... mmmmmmmm.

I just eat the whole box of mac of the original style. I think thats around 900 calories.

So yeah I don't go fancy with with mac.

You have never seen Kraft Dinner in your life? Is it possible such a delicacy is only available in Kanada? If so, I have a feeling this will be a low-traffic thread, aside from the "I have no idea what that is" posts...
Here in the States (East of the Mississippi, anyway) we get it, but it's just called "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese", not "Kraft Dinner". It's tasty goodness indeed, loaded with sodium and fat 👍

In our younger days, we bought the powdered kind, but now that we're pulling in bigger money, we always go for the Velveeta/Whiz kind. We probably eat a box a week here.

Stouffer's Mac and Cheese is a 1,000 times better. Give that a try, if you haven't ever. 👍

I still prefer my homemade version better, but try telling that to my boys.

I've had Kraft Mac-N-Cheese with chunks of ground beef in it. It's like ghetto Hamburger Helper. Too bad I just had 2 Stouffers dinners, or else I'd have made some.

I'm a Velveeta guy (I know, hoity-toyty bastard, right?), there just isn't anything else like it. I'll buy a little box and eat the whole thing myself, that's how much I love it. Although, being poor and such, the Meijer alternative is actually quite good...

I love me some Kraft Macaroni & Cheese! 👍 I didn't get fancy with it, my mom just boiled it and added the cheese. It was good, but I think Velveeta shells are better.

Even when my wife and I were pulling in a little more than minimum wages, we still plumped for the Velveeta stuff: Powdered cheese looks dangerously like something swiped from a college chemistry lab. I add Tabasco sauce to my helping, since it's still fairly bland.

Bailey loves the stuff to the point where she won't eat anything else served alongside (or inside) it.

Same with my 2 year old. Ask him what he wants for lunch - Mack-e-rony-cheese!

I'm usually not a big fan, but my wife made some last week and added ham and veggies. That was some good eats.

Try it with Vienna Sausages or my personal favorite Hebrew National Dinner Franks.
