Well, here it is folks :D:tup:

Welcome to the second running of The Last Great Race. As with the GT3 version of the race we will be doing a hotlap in the arcade version of the Castrol Toms Supra '00. Please make sure you are running the '00 version and not the '01.

All common OLR rules will apply here, no wall touches or contact of any kind. No cheating, wallriding etc. 2 tires must remain on the rumble strip at the exit of turn 2, which immediately follows the T1 split. The rumble strip defines the limits of the track at all locations (although it should only be a problem at turn 2). Any noticeable drop in speed when in the close vicinity of a wall will be deemed a wall touch! Please make sure to check your replays 👍.

Replays of the top 5 times will be required within 15 days of the time submission! If you cannot supply the replay your time will be removed from the leaderboard. Even if you are not in the top 5, replays are strongly encouraged!

Please submit all times to myself via email at bweisnicht@gmail.com or via PM. If it is at all possible, please try to send it via email, as checking PM's on 5-10 different sites will be hard and I wouldn't want to miss your time.

Please use this format:

1. Racer name
2. T1 split time 0'00.000
3. T2 split time 0'00.000
4. Final Time 0'00.000
5. Attach replay if available

Any T-times and final times may be discussed in this thread 👍

Sorry, but:

1) The posted replay is a 1'28.975.
2) You're using the '01 version.


Edit: Tried the V.'01, got a T2 of 48.871 in less than 5 laps... :rolleyes: (Compared to 49.1 in more than 2h with the V.'00)

It was too good to be true.
 
hehe, I have checked his real 1'28.496 and it was also done with the '01 version.

Too bad their Holl01 the lap was real good too.

DFP never came today :ouch: so I ran a few on the DS2 anyway and here's my best clean lap after an hour .... very nice combo btw :)

12.934 / 49.312 = 1.29.453

seen 12.8 and 49.2 and a dirty 1.29.1 👎

I need to find how to take that little niggly bit before the last bend easier as I seem to hit it wrong every other attempt :dopey: .... anyway! ... I'm gonna run some more and try for the 1.28 also 👍

I'm having the most trouble on the corner right after t2. I can get 49.2 fairly regularly, but I can never seem to get a good line through there.

Just did this lap a few minutes ago. Made a mess of the final corner by braking too hard. Will try some more later -- very fun combo. 👍

A few more laps and I changed the auto setting this time 👍

12.947 / 49.403 = 1.29.149 :)

happy with that one! ... and no doubts it's cleaner than a dogs genitals :dopey:

sorry, it was a silly mistake to use the 01' instead of the 00', i waisted 2 hours 4 nothing,

thankfully i was able to repeat a similar lap time after spending a few hours last night working on line and technique, i can still see another .2xx, heres my time (using top speed of 320km/h)

12.881 (i think)
49.090
=1'28.508

i've seen 48.999 once but chocked at 2nd last corner.

replay soon, not at home at the moment but will b in about 8 hours or so

it was too good to be true :sick: , but after stuffing up i said i will not stop untill i get a similar lap time with the 00' model, and i have :dopey:

NICE lap, looks like i'm gonna have to have another go and beat that time, i know i can do it, i can see a 1'28.3xx with the perfect lap, but that time is near perfect, in my lap, i made a mistake at the last corner, something i regretted when i was going down the final straight, next time, i wont make that mistake :)

just some few questions, what gears did u use 4 the corners after t2? i used gear 5 4 the double right and the fast left

Not been back to this yet but hoping to get on it tonight as my new DFP just arrived 👍

Cool use for Google earth also 👍 that programme rocks ;)


btw .. for the record! ... I was also running the Toms @ 320 speed setting!

the picture didnt work for me, nice time u did though, i had a few tries at beating my time but best i could manage was .020 outside, that must have been a killer lap u did, reckon u can shave anymore time off it?
 
Hiya peeps!!! Long time no see in the world of OLR!

Now we've got our new DFP I decided it was time I got back into the drivers seat :cool:

Ran a few laps (20 or so) around R246 and managed a clean time of...

Going to see what other spotties take my fancy for now, and I might come back to this when I've done some more warming up as I'm a little rusty!!!
