I've been hearing from friends and rumors from the internet, that this will be the very last Simpsons Season. I hope it's not true, but everyone is telling me that this is it. And they are saying that when the Simpsons end, there will be the first ever Simpsons movie.

So since it's conception in 1987, the Simpsons could be deceased by the end of the year. :cry:

I'm just glad I was born in the Time of the Simpsons. I wasn't lucky enough to be in the time when Cheers ruled the Airwaves, or when M*A*S*H* went off the air. Every generation has it's best shows, our generation has the Simpsons.



I just hope they put every season on DVD so I can get every episode.
 
no wonder it could be true, everyone has been saying "its getting old" or "its not as funny as it used to be" and every time i hear that i say "suck my d***"
 
I really hope that this is not the last season. :cry: I really do not know what other animation TV show I would watch. I have watched the Simpsons since I can remember and have loved every episode. PLEASE SAY THIS IS NOT SO! :nervous:

heh, i have two simpsons cds, go simpsonic, and songs in the key of springfield.

if i ever get a DVD player i'll buy the seasons if they ever come out.

or just try to download them. but seriously. i love the simpsons, i have been watching it since i was 3.
 
bah... all good things must come to an end... which is why Malcolm in the Middle will never die...

unless they start playing family guy and futurama more, i'll never watch fox again, except for those shows, but they're on at the most ****ed up times... i hate fox.

I guess you didn't hear. Family guy is cancelled too. Because of ratings.

Every good show is.

A Simpsons movie would be rather sweet.
 
Good show, has it's ups and downs (politically, it makes me vomit).

I'll miss it.
 
15 years worth of shows is a lot of re-runs. But in the UK, Sky One must be worried: they show at least an hour of Simpsons every night!
 
In the Beginning; Simpsons were right on the edge of decency and a lot of olders didn't like it, now it's the morally and politically correct Simpsons and some find it boring, I think.
 
They better not cancel The Simpsons or Family Guy. They should cancel Malcolm in the Middle like someone said previously. Go to the Movie/TV Forum and click on the thread called "Family Guy", there is a petition to save it in there. I can't remember the link and am too lazy to look it up.
 
dude, if every simpsons episode came out on DVD, i would be the first to whip out 200 quid to buy them all.

and there's in excess of 400 episodes, so that'll be one hell of a DVD colection. about 20 DVD's, or 13: one for each season.

or 26, each half of the season on a DVD. that'd cost a bomb.
 
Guys, I'm as big a Simpsons fan as the next person, but...

I think it's time they were put out to pasture. I mean, the last couple of seasons have been very uninspired. It's just kinda sad to see a show that was so full of piss and vinegar at one time become a shadow of its former self. :cry:

Futurama is the wave of the future (no pun intended). Maybe if The Simpsons take a break Futurama will get their slot and stop getting preempted by football. :irked:

I will be the first in line for every new Simpsons collection on DVD...regardless of how many hundreds of dollars it'll cost me.
 
The first season of The Simpsons is on DVD. I own it, and it's awesome.

But the fact that the Simpsons may end, well, that sucks (and knowing FOX, they'll probably replace it with a lame show like Malcom :mad: ).
 
sky one in the UK used to shoe 2 hours of solid simpsons. but then malcommunist in the middle east showed up, and now it's an hour of simpsons, then malcommunist in the middle east, and then a simpsons. why can't it just be like this EVERY night:

6-8 : simpsons

8-10 : futurama

10-12 : family guy

now that would be amazing.

I don't know if that would be a good idea. We are talking about 1/4 of our day in front of a television EVERY night. :nervous:
