My Dad's get a 50' plasma TV :D
But he'll never let me use it :mad:
 
For my graduation present my dad bought me a 70 in. Plasma ( got a deal of course, only 9999$) The only problem is that I have to pay for the installation in my apartment. Guess I am going to play sitting on the floor for a while :( The installation is going to be around 500 dollars because I have to do something to demagnatize the walls because I get interference.

Maybe I will just hang it from chains. :)

Gran Turismo 3 was pretty expensive for me since I bought a $1600 58-inch big screen TV just for the game. If I can get enough money together I'm gonna be upgrading to HDTV for GT4, along with getting a DFP and building a cockpit. :lol:

...buy playseat from www.gameorder.nl.... should cost you like HKD 3000.-.... with the difference you at least get the game for free in an opportunistic way of thinking...


...I have just spent $8000 on a 50inch Plasma (though playing gt4 was not the MAIN reason that made me going for it really) , $380.- on the playseat... $180 on the DFP... and when I was about to buy the friggin' Japanese ps2 and the game plus some basshakers for the playseat I realized how damn crazy this is... :scared: ...so, reeeeeaaally tried to get myself together for once and decided to wait for the PAL version...

Nice to see someone else from Reading on here.

I've got a Logitech Driving Force Pro Feedback steering wheel (DFP), and it's amazing. I got it a while back and it really makes GTP so much more fun. Normally it just clamps to the table edge, but Logitech do sell a device so you can use it on your lap Click Here. I've never played a racing game before with manual gears, but this steering wheel really encourages you to make use of either the paddle shifters or the gear stick.

I spent £400 just on my PS2 to get it the minute they were released!! :crazy: (NTSC J).....and I kinda bought it cos I knew another GT was in the pipeline! :)
 
Im going to let everyone in on a secret of how to get GT4 for just $50. It wont be easy but it will be worth it.

Wait till its released in America 👍 :sly:

Just been calculating how much this damn GT4 has cost me.. This is crazy, but thought I would share my cost's with you all...

1) Bought Logitech DFP, August 2004 = £110
2) Bought GameRacer Pro December 2004 = £300
3) Had my PS2 Chipped with Ripper3 chip = £40
5) Bought Asian version of GT4 off eBay. £63

Total cost = £513.00

Crazy money for one game. Was it worth it.. Oh HELL YES!!! :sly:

dont forget to add in a dollar amount for all the time you spent sitting on this board while you were waiting for the game to be released.....
 
I didn't even have a PS2 anymore, so my bill was pretty ugly:

Slim PS2 w/ DMS4 Pro from pre-mod company- $309 + $34 for 1 day shipping = $343.... yeah I know I paid too much

GT4 = $74

DFP = $120

Monster cables = $100

Driving Setup = $160

total = $797 USD

+ $50 fro my pre-purchased US copy


PSP with GT4 is definitely next on the list.
 
GT4 will cost me £34.50 or whatever & should be with me on the day of release. I've 'ummmed' & 'ahhhhed' about the whole thing but decided I might aswell just wait for the english release which I can actually read without having to flick through a 'translation guide' (no disrespect to Maskrider) & having to pay through my nose for the priviledge, even though my PS2 is already modded.

I deffinately would not pay over £50 for a copy of GT4 I cannot read (& another £30+ for a PAL copy also especially with all these delays & no online). But I can understand why people would, since I'm sick of waiting :scared:

They're not bad from what I've heard! Pretty solid build & lightweight.

im a joypadder, i like joypads, i only use steering wheels in non competitive racing, i only have a steering wheel on xbox for driving the ring on pgr2,

is it really worth all this money for a racing seat wheel pedal combo??


i always struggle to drive with steering wheels

You do realise that for that money you could have got a 6800, just bought GT4 when it comes out in a language you can understand, and still have money left right?

£29.99-34.99 for me, and I'll actually understand it!
