The New camera Sucks!!!

He's complaining that the chase cam has been reverted to the way it was before 2.02.


And @ the OP: This IS the fix. The dynamic camera that no one asked for and PD shoved into the 2.02 update without telling anybody was making people physically sick when they were using it and had serious glitches when used in races that were longer than 10 minutes or so. It is a shame that PD couldn't fix it and offer it as an option, but I'm not particularly bothered that they made it back to how it was in the first place.
 
i'll try to get some pics. but Toronado the Camera is better for road courses yes. but at Daytona the car is diaganol on my screen... i cant see anything below me... The camera before all of the camera changes was just fine... It wasn't diagonal before all this stupid stuff...
 
Yea I agree, I just left a comment on the update's main comment area. I have had the game one week after it first came out, and I do not remember it ever looking this bad. Not saying Tornado is wrong but it still seems like the camera is offset to right in addition to not panning with the car.
 
It's a shame really because I really liked the dynamic cam, It added to the Simulator feeling. PD could have added an option to have it either off or on though.

Good to see that more people see what's happening. It's hard to make people happy... it's really hard. :indiff:

BTW, I don't think the 2.04 cam is like it was before the dynamic cam. I think it still got some dynamic feeling on it, thus very reduced.

And that time seemed to get less after every drive.

I did get used to the new chase cam but really, the glitches were sickening. Mind you, haven't actually driven anything at all with it being reverted.

That maybe true. But the rest us are just saying an option would've been okay to have but we believe how hard it could be. It got me to finish the last real world circuit seasonal event in nurburgring full. 👍

Whoever is for it obviously has never played in chase cam for anything more than 5 minutes, the car would slightly skip after 2 minutes, then it become noticeable after 5, and it got to the point were the car would skip to the edge of the screen by around 12 minutes, now i actually like the old cam and i loved the whole idea with the new one but you cant patch that in without flaws and to be honest the game was broken with that camera , anything past 10 minutes would be unplayable due to that...
 
Man, I'm glad I missed that if it was sickening.

But yeah, pleasing the masses around here would seem to be an endeavour of futility. :boggled:
