If you're finding it too easy, drop the tyres to Sports Hard on the F2007. I just won the Tokyo with this setup with a margin of < 1 second. I use the G27 and found it incredibly hard to stop the car from sliding out. Well worth the challenge.
You will find CHs quicker ! You were using RHs - check my posts.

It took some practice but I feel I'm getting used to the F10/F2007 now. I can consistently win the Indy race (although I always make a mistake or two - but manage to catch up again).

I still can't win Tokyo or Nurb - it's not easy with a controller. I need moar practice!

Best thing though: it has now become fun to do!

After going back and trying both again, I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. The grip difference between RS's and SH's is quite significant on the F2007 in this race. I found every time, that if even slightly tagged by the opposition on the SH's it would send me into a near uncontrollable spin; this did not happen on the RS's. I also found on one of the s-bends that the RS tyres had much better grip and I was less likely to hit the wall.

However, I took your advice and raced the F10 on both sets of tyres and have found that it's much harder to differentiate between the tyre-sets. Could be a bug with the F10 that doesn't exist with the F2007.

I will test further with the F'07. I only used CHs with the F'10.

yes the races are cool and give a little fight back on the Tokyo R246.. The Nür GP and Daytona is too easy with the F2007 imo..

Daraidz. No tune needed. Stay consistant. You can add down force. Maybe one bar below full aero. Although the thing hits the corners reguarless. Don't oversteer and brake late. You can be fullspeed and brake on the last marker and still have room

I agree! One my favorites, if not the favorite series thus far.

I have a feeling that PD will get the game just about perfect through updates and the Seasonal Events.

Well I am certainly not finding it "easy" I managed to get the gold in the first race using a DS3. On the others I just can't get the speed up enough without them disappearing off in to the distance. Not only that but one little over bite on the acceleration and I am off in a spin.

I am sure it is better for all you people with a wheel, or who have played GT since the dawn of time. For first time, casual players ( never got in to the previous ones ) it certainly is very much a challenge, too much so really.

I thoroughly enjoyed the other races in the seasonal 7, as while the xp was low you could choose a car to make yourself competitive and could be afforded the odd mistake. With this one, it is just as bad as the Vettel challenge. I don't have the time nor patience to put the hours in needed.

Umm... Don't know if it's cool to say this, but..:

ASM might be your friend here.

I'm not hardcore, by any stretch, so I couldn't see me *NOT* using Racing Softs for the thrill of it. Same with TCS.

So:

TCS to 5
ASM On
ABS to 7

Racing Softs

Also:

Brake Balance - Front @ 4; Rear @ 1.

The brakes are that good, you don't need to pound them, and locking up the back (even with ABS on) is going to kick you out a little.

Also, with the Brake Balance set low to the rear, you can use a digital (R1/L1) button for braking, rather than an analogue (L2) one. Lot quicker for getting on and off the brakes.

Check your transmission as well. Can't remember off the top of my head, but fairly sure I dialled it down for all 3 tracks, and only recall bouncing the limiter briefly on the Suzuka S/F straight.

ASM can feel a bit restrictive when it cuts your power, but at least you stay pointing in the right direction.

^^^All the above might seem the soft-core option, but at least you'll get the wins.

And since the Ferrari F1 SC offers the second highest XP/min in the Game, it's going to be worth repeating it as often as you care during the availability window.

So win first with driving aids; then dial them out as you improve.

Hi I'm new here.

The Gran Turismo Formula1 Championship in the A-Spec Extreme category is the most fun challenge of the game so far.

I don't have a Ferrari F1 to do the seasonal race, but if someone could loan one to me that would be great. I'll also give it back with a few goodies as a thanks.

Love this site by the way.

Wow thanks very much, I actually won Indy with those settings first go! The Nurburgring as still hard, but I think I can nail it.

I had allot more fun with these races that I have trying to finish FGT, I still cannot get past the 1st race in it....and I consider myself a good driver, probably better than most.

gearing was key on the ferrari races, if you left it at default, it seemed like the other cars would run away from you....

What gearing did you use for Nurburgring?

I think it was around 180ish....im sure the AI cars are all default, so as long as you arent bouncing off the limiter going down the straight, you have it right. I think mine tapped the limiter right as i went for the brake on the 1st turn after the main straight....

and I did it with a wheel and not the DS3, that might have helped me too....

how is anyone having trouble with the f1?..i flipped mine ...1st corner ,4th lap at the ring and still had it sewn up...using a standard controller...standard except for the butterfly sticker on the l2 button that my daughter put on...:D

I found the Ferrari seasonals to be waaayyy to easy.

I had the lead by the end of lap 3 on Nurburg' and Indy, then on Tokyo I had the lead by the end of lap 1, and I wasn't using any aids except ABS 1.

I did enjoy driving the F1 car however, it was very enjoyable, went exactly where I wanted it and was easily controllable.

Thumbs up from me.

What tires are you using? I found it to be a little more "challenging" when I used the hard tires, compared to the soft compound. Don't get me wrong, not "challenging" like racing real people online but still fun.

I just went straight in with racing soft due to all the people saying how hard it was. Was shocked when I started alienating the field.

I love the F2007! Traded for one last night and god, what a sweet car. I won Tokyo and Nurburg by at least 5 seconds each and at Indy I screwed up on the last corner before the straightway on the last lap and finished second.

PD's new priority should be more races for the Ferrari F1 cars and make it so we can use these cars in any race! Or more seasonal events. Whatever they do I want to be able to use the F2007 in more than three races!
