12 seconds faster than the 'gera? Yeah right. I also find it a bit funny they mention CO2 and airbags in comparison to Ferrari... because those are priorities for people in the market for a junior supercar.

While I'm disappointed about how the future looks for this, as I'm sure the R8 and it will just become more and more similar, I've gotta say I really, really like the new look, and it should really be fast. Kinda confused why they tacked on the "/4" to the name, though. The Murc didn't get it.
It's strange, but the "/4" stands for the drivetrain, even though the official name for Lamborghini's drivetrain is Viscous Traction.

Perhaps this points to Lambo releasing, some point in the future, a LP560/2, a RWD version?

Sketch released today from Lamborghini. Nothing really changed at this view.

Like I said earlier, nothing really changed. It just looks like they masked over the old graphics. Some lines just keep going and overlap other ones. Not cool.

Looks like, more or less, that that photo is trying to demonstrate the aerodynamics of this new car.

Much better than the original Gallardo. As someone else asked earlier in the thread, do the doors open the right way now?

I doubt, it seems to have the exact same doors as the normal Gallardo.

Rear tail lights seem a little R8-ish, yeah? Haha. I like the new front end. A bit like a much angular F430.

It looks cool. I certainly wouldn't turn one down. Anymore info? I it just a re-design and power bump? Or have they dropped the weight, too? I wonder how Supperlegerra owners feel.

They just masked out original Gallardo graphics. I don't see anything more attractive when you're just taking away from already-complete shapes.

Aww, the doors don't open the right way.

Anyone know if there are any kits to convert Gallardo doors into scissor doors?

Man that looks so much better. Why oh why did Lamborghini stick it with boring doors?

Because Lamborghini tradition is that only the top-end model has scissor doors. In this case it is the Murcielago. The Diablo and Countach where the only other production Lambos with scissor doors. All other Lambos, especially the lower end cars such as the Jalpa had conventional doors. It was to be expected for the original Gallardo and all following versions to have normal doors. Heck, I bet the Gallardo replacement will have normal doors :p

Anyway this LP560-4 amuses me. Looks much more aggressive compared to the standard Gallardo. I'll take a white one with black wheels. The wheels on the first one shown that is.

Opening vertical doors in a car stuck on it's roof is sorta not going to happen to easily. If I remember correctly a while back a man driving his murcielago with his son flipped the car on it's roof which then caught on fire, but they couldn't get out because they couldn't open the doors. Thus, burning to death.

Sounds like a great time, and I'm guessing the windows are to narrow to be able to crawl out of as well.

There, and most of them look like crap. Hardly any company can make a proper scissor door, and the one holden posted is pure proof. Those look like butterfly doors that can only go 1/3rd of the way rather than scissor doors.

Because it cut costs. Vertical doors take more time to engineer efficiently. And they look ridiculous on the Gallardo's body style. It's design isn't at the point where it can pull it off.

Oh, I see. I thought you were implying something about them regarding structural integrity.

In a car that is like 2 feet tall and produces several hundred pounds of downforce, you have to be traveling at fairly tremendous velocities to roll the car, most likely injuring yourself too much from having the ability to save yourself.

Falling off the road into a ravine? plenty of those around here...
