I get what you're trying to say, and I think too much is emphasized on the word "new". I think they intended the list to be "7 additional wonders of the world".

I wouldn't mind seeing a list limited to 1900+, or even seeing a list of 7 Natural wonders.

I believe they used the word 'new' because "Except for Egypt's pyramids, all the other architectural marvels on the original ancient list of seven wonders have vanished. They were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Pharos lighthouse off Alexandria in Egypt"

from an AP article on July 9th.

according to the same article, a contest is on to name the 7 natural wonders of the world.

I would nominate Yellowstone... but the nomination process looks like a pain and I'm sure someone has already done it. Meh

What year did man build Yellowstone anyway? Or are you talking about the natural wonders.
