Hello everyone there isn't a thread about this right now so for those who don't know about it (yet) I will explain.

Daily race A: Suzuki Swift Sport.

Today's Daily Races:

So as you can see I set 1:06.721 in one try. I wanted to check the top 10 stars to see how to improve my lap time and I found out this:

I got really confused so I checked the top driver's replay.
So while everything was going well on his lap time, suddenly he cut a huge part of the track and finsihes his time. Although he gets reset back in the track his lap time is over because he came across the start/finish line.

I will provide a video soon.

Also, I post this only to update you and not to make you do it.
Be fair, but if you really want to do it, please consider that PD is watching you plus some people have already got banned.

I hope all gets banned which trying this. But it is a dream, and maybe we have to wait a very long time until PD is fixing this. Look at Monza for example...

There are just more dishonest people anymore vs honest people. To many people look for anyway they can to cheat.

All we know is that there are at least 10 dishonest people! Most people I race against seem to be fine.

Also, people seem to forget that this is a computer game aimed (in part) at kids! Im sure when I was 12 i would have had a go at cutting the track/doing the pit lane glitch and thinking I was the bees knees when I pulled it off.

That’s the sort of thing I did in Mario Kart at least :)
 
Just out of interest, what impact is this having on the actual race? I don't even want to bother entering the race if people can get an unfair advantage by doing this during the race.

Yeah are people cheating in the race, or in just in qualifying?

They need to invalidate EVERY FREAKING LAP with 4 wheels off the white line... Why is it so hard???

One problem with this, is the game then won't know when to invalidate the next following lap.

The current system will invalidate the following lap if you finish the current lap with a penalty. This is so someone can't have a super start to their lap by cutting the final corner of the lap. (I can't think of an example on this game, but imagine if Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was in GT Sport and you could cut the final corner and start your next lap).

They definitely need to make it so it invalidates a lap if off the track, but they'd also need to add a feature which invalidates the following lap based on when you've gone off-track too.

Yes here it is but there is only one UK cheater in the top ten. What about all the other countries, is it holiday time there too?

The times will likely get reset soon, like when they were cheating on Monza. It's not hard to know something is wrong, there isn't one DR S driver in the top ten. :lol:

It's because PD gives them that opportunity when these bugs pass seemingly undetected through their QA.

Although it is PD's fault they are not entirely to blame.
I'm an honest player and I don't go looking for ways to cheat so I would never know about any of the issues until they are posted on this site and I'm not alone on this.
I think it is impossible for PD to know about every bug people find to cheat with. And It's not just them because this goes for every online game known to exist and someone will always finds a way to exploit it.
There are just to many people looking for ways to cheat then thousands more looking to copy that exploit. It is really sad and says alot about ones character.

Ι don't think so. Have you ever thought that someone from Polyphony could be behind an account here on GTP or in any other site. Either official or unofficial.
Also, if I were a video game creator I would have some people playing the game in the company for this reason. Trying to find new ways to cheat so the team could ban them.
Anyone who is interested can easily find a new way to cheat.

I'm sure they do have people looking for stuff of this nature but it's just impossible to find them all. There are far more individuals looking for ways to cheat all over the world vs a few people at PD. The numbers are stacked against any company doing online gaming. So I'm not trying to defend PD but realistically others will find things before they do just because the numbers are against them.
 
the thing with people, is they will always do something unimaginable either by trying or by accident. In hindsight it seems an obvious thing to have tested - though I haven't seen the replays yet.

They need to introduce the same off track penalties as F1 2107 qualifying, once your off/cut the lap your on and the next are invalid after a certain point in the lap.

In Forza, if you go off track in the final sector, your next lap is invalid. It prevented people taking a shortcut through a final chicane to grab more speed on the front straight, and it works.

Same on GT Sport in Q laps. The current lap gets the time penalty added on and the subsequent lap is not valid.
