At a lot of manufacturing plants, several cars roll off the assembly line in odd numbers. I've been to a Nissan plant, and you could stand at the end of the line and see Altimas, Frontiers, NV cargo vans, Xterra's, Titans to name a few all at the same time.
 
  • I wonder, would this MX-5 platform be ripe for an RX-2/RX-3/RX-4 revival. Although it they Mazda were to utilise the current 1.5 & 2.0 piston engines. Could make for MX-2/MX-3/MX-4 3box 2+2 sedans. Realistically, I don't see it because Mazda isn't that big to pull it off. But limited numbers like an MX-5, would make them some enticing machines.
 
I would not object to a low-cost MX-3 Coupe with the 1.5 based on the MX-5. But I wonder how they'd make it lighter and cheaper than the 5. Probably cut some extra sheet metal out of the rear end. Sacrifice the 50:50 balance, make it more 52:48 or greater.

Hmmm... time for another jab at Photoshop...

After watching Top Gear last Sunday I've fallen in love with the new MX-5. When they come out in summer this year, im seriously thinking of buying one and yes id be getting the 1.5 version.
 
-> The only thing that worries me about the ND is will I fit my 6'3 self with the top up. :indiff:

Cars are all Forza has. Polyphony has race car drivers racing in Le Mans. And don't think for a second that Forza will be getting the GT-R LMP1 before GT does.

Edit: I see your point. Forza are just scaring me with their car list at times. They're. getting/have good cars in that game.
While we are getting new cars and tracks in GT, this specific car is a modern icon. Yes, we got the Vette and M4 pre-sale and they both are icons. GT users are missing out on the ND MX-5 in the virtual world.

There will be people who will complain about the fact that we get another MX-5/Roadster/Miata and no Premium Supra or E30. I can already imagine it.

Could be the Spec MX-5 minus the roll cage, race gauges and race steering wheel. But include the Spec graphics, BBS, seats and the old school roll-over hoops behind the seats. Hard top version?
