I think I'm gonna get nice 'n cozy in this thread for the next couple days 👍

So I went back and grabbed a screen capture of the last camoflauged car at nearly the same angle as the renders posted earlier today, and I must say that all of the lines match up...

Man, I'm gonna be pissed if the tails look like that. They should have mirrored them so that the round part is outside.

Aero. Needs tapering. Hence the round part stays on the inside.

Am I the only one getting a distinctly Alfa-ish vibe from the design?

The round tailights look like a lot of the Alfa's out there. The MiTo comes to mind.

That render makes it look like a 3/4 scale F-Type from the back. Not a bad thing.

But, with the outgoing NCs going for near 50k$ in Canada, I have a feeling this one won't be any cheaper. And thus just as useless.

Has Miata worked with Alfa before? I swear I heard of a collab with Alfa on one of the generations.

The only Japanese manufacturer I remember working with Alfa before this was Nissan, back in the 1980s with the Arna, and even Alfa wished it never happened.

My bad. I was thinking of the collab between Mazda and Alfa to make a new Alfa Romeo roadster. Also, I remember seeing pictures of the Arna when I was a kid..... not a pretty car at all.

You guys remember this?

Give the Miata that Alfa's tail and everything will be fine! It would look gorgeous!

The tail lights will likely look like what the Mazda3 and 6 have. I expect lots of influence from Mazda's current design they got going.

I thought they already said it wouldn't follow the current design language.

wow that rear end.... can't say i like it though

Just imagining a 2100lb, 1.4 MultiAir powered roadster, with $4000 or more in incentives on day one really gets my motor running.

I can't see the Fiat weighing 200lbs+ less than the Miata version.

So where are the news??? I have been waiting since this morning, checking all outlet with no avail...

Whats the hold up anyone know? I thought it was to be announced today ? Hawaii time ???

It'll be on at 7:30 EDT for those on the east coast, yo.
