Hello, GT Planet.
Since the first GT, the LM Cars have been interesting racing concepts, with hardcore endurance racing in their blood. Racers got into the Castrol Toyota Supra from the first GT. Yes, all 680 turbocharged horses (or do Japan prefers "ponies" when talking about horsepower?) of it. Then you have the RX-7, Skyline, and even Mitsubisghi GTO (3000GT) as LM cars.
In Gran Turismo 2, more cars were available, as were new concept race cars. The Vector M12 had its own LM car (that raced back in 1997 or 1998 here in America, I believe). The Dodge Copperhead had its own LM with a mid-rear combo, rather than the Concept Car's front-rear layout. Elsewhere in the world, the Venturri LM600 had one as well. Audi's TT got an LM treatment complete with 4WD. The Volkswagen [New] Beetle got the GT treatment with 424 horsepower to challenge the Porsches, but it would need to be front or rear wheel drive to be for real against them. It can also be rally raced with dirt tires.
Gran Turismo 3 had more models with endless possibilities. The Toyota Altezza, Honda S2000, and Mitsubishi FTO were some of the newer LM cars. The Pagani Zonda also got its own race car, and I'll admit. I got more respect for the Zonda as a competition race car, although the Italian Avantgarde is the most embarrasing race ever. You can even own the already-beautiful Jaguar XJ220 as a GT racer.
GT4 will have more cars than GTs 1, 2, and 3 (not combined, though). So there are many more concepts to come with the 500+ cars which daresay it will exceed GT2's car count of roughly 500. If you have any votes for cars with the LM or even rally car treatment, make your claims here now.
I'll begin, as the starter of this topic and a voice of opinion.
(NOTE: I AM NOT SURE WHICH CARS ARE ACTUALLY CONFIRMED, SO I'M GOING ON SPECULATION. IF THE CARS (AND MAYBE TRUCKS) I MENTION WILL NOT BE GT4, THEN I AM SORRY.)
I'll think that the Toyota Bb will take a line from Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero and be a Dakar-looking machine. I'd also would like to see some of the small and ugly small cars of Japan get some rally treatment. As an inclusion, I'd want to see the Honda Z-Turbo (mid-four, which is VERY rare in cars) be tuned into a car as powerful as the Mini Cooper Special car from GT2.
Now to LM cars. Call me crazy, but I think the Mustang would look good as a Le Mans racer. The forthcoming Mustang model is questionable. The Shelby Cobra concept unveiled at the N.A. (North American) Auto Show would make a great Le Mans challenger as well. Make a good Viper Concept, and don't forget to make a GT2-spec or GT3-spec version of the Dodge Neon SRT-4. Outside of "musclecarville, USA," let's go international. The Toyota Supra and Nissan Skyline should have one-off race cars. Not the ones based on the JGTC racers, but original cars that keep their late-model stock forms, but with more lights and carbon-fiber GT wings. Speaking of the Skyline, it would be interesting to see the Skyline from the 24 Hours at the Nurburgring (which sadly finished 53rd last year, after being in 3rd at one point) in the game. I think BMW's 1,000 hp M1 needs some LM treatment and can be entered into vintage races and a HUGE opponent in the "80s Race Series." If Porsche makes it, a Porsche 917 in Gran Turismo or Polyphony Digital trim would make for one hell of a race car. If Dome (pronounced doh-may) is considerable for GT, how about the Racing for Holland Dome. I'm not too fond of the checkered-colored Dome. The Peugeot 307 that's into rally will be a GREAT find, and it would make a beautiful sedan to go touring car or low-level GT racing. Australia? Holden Commodore LM, based on the Aussie V8s. Same goes for the Ford Falcon, but I liked the last model better. And it would be amusing to see one of those Holden Utes make a good race car. I CHALLENGE PD to come up with an interesting concept for it.
Well, your turn. And by the way, a quick favor... a 1960-something Buick Special will be in GT4 from the SEMA show. Does anyone have any pictures of it? Everytime I think about it, I somehow think of the much younger Buick Grand National for some reason...

over 49 hours ago and asked for UPS shipping, the status of the game hasnt changed from "Preparing order" and it said it would only take 24 hours.Did anyone else have this problem?
